Natasha Q (mx) wrote: Movie was beautiful visualization. Beautiful work of art depicted onscreen.

Jeff B (de) wrote: Disturbing and perverted, but yet alluring and artistic. Definitely not for the prudish type.

A S (br) wrote: Weird in a bad way:) Slooow. This movie did not need to be 3 hours long. And it has a bad scene.

Ben R (jp) wrote: This movie was ok in a few parts but for the most part dragged ass and felt kinda meh to me. The actors were good enough but I couldn't stand Patricia Arquette at all and she was especially annoying in this. Dennis Hopper was under used just like he was in true romance, funny enough Patricia Arquette was over used in both this and TR. David Morse is not a leading actor and Viggo Mortensen was too good for this movie. Speaking of under used...Charles Bronson felt like an extra in this with the role they gave him, which was extremely disapointing to me. Pretty much if this movie wasn't directed by Sean Penn it would have been a fart in the wind back in 1991 but then again it sorta is now.

Stefan P (kr) wrote: Even though I couldn't understand much of it (because of my non-existing historical knowledge about Joan of Arc), I found this one pretty suspenseful and enjoyably. Great acting, photography and music.

Nik M (mx) wrote: Where films like City Lights and Sunrise celebrate the joy of romantics, its boundless and endless reach, Rules of the Game denotes it as blissful tragedy. Romance is glorified more as a desire with a set system, complimented by Renoir's use of mirrors in his shots. The artistry behind its execution is quite impressive.

Thomas B (ca) wrote: Grade - B+Although not as good as the TV series it inspired, the original 'Fargo' is still a very good film in its own right. Fantastic performances and an excellent premise elevate it to more than your average mystery thriller.

Joey C (gb) wrote: Chris Evans does a good job of being the flawed hero, even if it does focus on him more than necessary. The story is thought provoking and unforgettable. This film is capable of making a person FEEL something about the world in which we live, and the everyday injustice to the things we take for granted.
