(nl) wrote: There are many elements in Tasher Desh that have typical Q's style - unstable camera work, excellent music, chaotic & fantasy-like premise just like his previous film Gandu was.But Q makes second half of Tasher Desh absolutely crazy, kickass, chaotic & surreal with introduction of cards.Had first half being more clearer this would have been truly a great film.Must listen soundtrack.

Espero un buen futuro para este director, cuya narrativa parece centrarse ms en las imgenes que en el argumento, por lo pronto, hoy no ofreci mucho.

(us) wrote: Apparantly, I'm the only person on here to ever have seen this film. Nice. Film is a big word for this patching quilt of sketches, songs and dance numbers, thinly tied together by a plot about a fictional actor who becomes the driving force behind the USO shows during WW II. The movie is little more than a USO show on tape, designed to boost morale of the troops and convince people at home to buy warbonds. About every contract star at Universal appears in it, which means you have some timeless stars (Marlene Dietrich, Orson Welles, WC Fields, The Andrew Sisters, Dinah Shore, etc) appearing next to people who were popular for 15 minutes back then, but no one remembers now (though I did enjoy the dude with his amazing dog show, I can see how that must have been a winner). Anyway, it's not a movie really, look at it as a talent show, with exceptionally talented people, and then it's really a fun show to watch.
(es) wrote: Lancaster was a great actor and the stunts he did himself were unbeleivable by todays hollywood actors. Great movie of love, life and swinging through the air on a rope...what more can you ask for.
(mx) wrote: Really enjoyable movie. As a horror buff I didn't see much for this but to my surprise it was better than expected. Overall it was clich, the characters were absolutely lifeless and had nothing interesting to them but the scares were done right and the atmosphere was set almost perfectly. This is a stylish horror film that I think most will enjoy if they don't expect TOO much. Just take it for what it is and allow yourself to be scared. This movie has bland actors but it does scares very well and for a horror movie that's all I'm at least hoping for
