(es) wrote: shame on all critics who vote this movie in any way rotten. this is a beautiful story that will captivate anyone born into a irish catholic family even in todays day and age. Very captivating and the closest script I've ever seen in a movie with details comparible to a book.
(au) wrote: What kind of a sequel is this? What a complete joke and disappointment. Speed is amazing and action packed and it is a great action film with a great cast. I think it was a good idea to makdwe a sequel and it could have been a good one. Speed 2 is far from good. I gave Speed 4 and a half stars and Speed 2 drops all the way to half a star. It is a shame that Keanu Reeves didn't return from the first film but at least Sandra Bullock returned. Keanu Reeves was meant to reprise his role as Jack Traven but he declined it as he didn't like the script. Instead Jason Patric takes his place. Keanu Reeves was praised for not returning as Speed 2 was awful and a total box office bomb. Both Sandra Bullock and Jason Patric regret starring in Speed 2 and I don't blame them. They must be embarrassed starring in Speed 2. I think director Jan De Bont found it hard to do a good job second time round because Speed is so good and his other films are not very good at all. Speed 2 could and should have been so much better. What a joke!!! This film might as well be called slow because it is just a slow moving cruise ship not a speeding bus.

(mx) wrote: Good plot; oomph missing.
(it) wrote: Nicely shot and well-acted, but not much of a story and just depressing really.
(es) wrote: The animation still holds up well, but the anthology nature of the piece makes it difficult to get invested long term. Best viewed as individual shorts.
(nl) wrote: A great energetic performance from James Cagney as an ex-con gangster who decides to go 'legit' by becoming a tabloid paper photographer. With his wits and connections, he is able to get in and around the places that other papers would never dare. At a fast paced 76 minute runtime, it's pretty amazing what they got crammed into the plot, but that's what they did best back in those days.
