Geoffrey T (ru) wrote: A guaranteed classic! A heavy drama that uncovers the struggles of a bully victim and the depression that goes along with it.

Craig D (gb) wrote: the film contained a lot of bad acting, dont get me wrong i like horror movies but this is something you wouldn't class as a horror. there are some good bits but thats mainly the efects.

Guido S (ru) wrote: Al Pacino is a former publicist who ends up getting embroiled in some bad things with a client of his. Could have been an interesting movie, but I just couldn't care about anything that was happening throughout the film. Pretty much sums up late Pacino movies well.

Monique Y (au) wrote: This foreign film was cute for the initial 15 minutes, then boring to the point of falling asleep several times for the remainder of the movie. What I needed to learn about the Japanese picture brides pursuing the American dream just to become victims of a transaction full of lies, trapped in an almost slaving farm job, depressed and unable to cope with marital deception, quiet rebelling against fate and ultimately accepting destiny was so brief and superficial that watching the trailer would have accomplished the task.

Dann M (it) wrote: From Disney comes the rather unusual holiday film, One Magic Christmas. The story follows an angel who's assigned to help a working mother find the Christmas spirit, and to do so he enlists the help of her daughter. Mary Steenburgen and Harry Dean Stanton lead a somewhat eclectic cast. And the plot too has its share of quirks, with the angel teaming up with Santa Claus, and the use of a Christmas Wish to bring back the dead. The tone shifts so wildly that it's hard to tell what kind of film you're in half the time; fantasy, comedy, tragedy. Still, One Magic Christmas manages to come through with some heartwarming moments.

Tatsuhito K (es) wrote: I liked where it was going and I had no problem with its overly familiar narrative, until it became too predictable and a little cliched. Al Pacino is charming as ever and it has a great supporting cast, but certain events in the film, particularly the whole subplot about his illegitimate son's illness, seemed too contrived. Overall, it is heartwarming at times and a decent directorial debut for Dan Fogelman. Danny Collins has a lot of problems, but Pacino's performance and John Lennon's songs make up for its flaws.
