A rare film which depicts the tragic fate of a Christian lord who fought for his fate in the Edo period. Of note is Utaemon Ichikawa's extraordinary memorable final scenes in which he takes on his enemy with a gash in his forehead and a wild, unkempt mane.

An abandoned ship carrying coffee crates filled with gigantic avocados arrives in New York. But wait, those aren't avocados! They're eggs from Mars made of bacteria, and when they get warm they explode... and if the egg-goo gets on you, you explode, too! A colonel from a secret military organization, a NYC cop and a washed-up astronaut team up to stop the green egg menace from destroying the world... using a combination of guns, flamethrowers, computers that look like something off the bridge of the original Enterprise, and dialogue so dangerously cheezy that it ought to be subject to international treaties."Contamination" is well into trash masterpiece territory. The scenery-chewing performances by lead trio Louise Marleau, Marino Mas and Ian McCulloch are truly epic, and they appear to be having a good time with every minute of it. The three actors must have known they were in an awful movie and poured their hearts into making it as ridiculous as possible. The gore is plentiful, with lots of exploding viscera liberally splattering the lens accompanied by much screaming and groaning. And the rubber, tentacled space cyclops monster behind the whole thing... classic! If you're looking for a well-crafted, terrifying science fiction horror movie... forget this one. If you're looking for a whacked-out where everything that can go wrong does go wrong in the most laughable way possible, see this one! This is Troma does "Alien" without trying to be funny, which might just be the most entertaining thing of all.

First, its visual, the cinematography is so stunning that if this was a silent movie, the film would remain equally beautiful. The lighting in this movie is the greatest work done since The Godfather(1972). The way that Woody Allen shoots widely in closed places makes you feel inside the room. The chemistry between the actors, the naturalness of the dialogue and narration make this film completely unique and amazing. This is one of the greatest movie ever made.

Cooper is a miner in a mining town in West Virginia and Gyllenhaal, who plays his son doesn't want to go into the family business. He wants to be a rocket scientist. It's based on a true story. It's no academy award winning movie, but it's very charming and so is Jake Gyllinhall. He's very young in it. The acting by everyone in it is adequate. Everything about it technically is adequate. There's a fun little montage of them shooting, or trying to shoot of their rockets and failing over and over. The sound track was all 60's music which was enjoyable. Although a little predictable and a little derivative it was still pretty entertaining and enjoyable. Maybe because it's just so disgustingly feel good. I cried despite myself at the end. It's also just one of the most family oriented movies ever. If you have the whole family over and don't want to offend anyone, this is the perfect movie for that occasion. There's footage of the real people at the end of the movie. It's pretty fascinating.
