(au) wrote: Great performances from Tim Roth, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Toni Collette! This movie was very painful to watch, the aspect of people losing everything and people profiting from that made me almost ill, but at the same time I couldn't take my eyes away from this film for a moment. Chiwetel Ejiofor's moving performance was one of the better I have seen in a while, this guy is up there with the likes of Dicaprio, Bale, Crowe and Washington

(ru) wrote: Refn fait du Lynch, soignant son casting et sa mise en scne... Il manque cependant un p'tit quelque chose qu'il avait dans ces autres films pour m'emballer vraiment...
(fr) wrote: Lots of twists but the conclusion is just stupid
(it) wrote: A graphic depiction of the life of a low social class, the Maori (New Zealand), akin to the Indians in the US or the Aboriginals in Australia. Portrayed is their struggle with a violent father, drugs, alcohol and abuse. It's an interesting movie, unfortunately with a storyline and dialogues that could've been a lot better.

(kr) wrote: still awesome 50 years later..they had the right idea, kidnap your women!
(jp) wrote: Fun Fact: The film's working title was "The Wolf Man's Cure". I kinda wish they had called that, as the main focus of the film is Wolfie and not Drac.
(gb) wrote: Dane Clark absolutely steals the show here as the "second lead" whose romantic escapades and pithy Brooklyn bot mots are much more interesting than the "A" love story.
