The film doesn't attempt to be exhaustive or even particularly objective, but it gives a believable glimpse of this artist. NOTE: Do not confuse this film with the more recent and vastly inferior GAUGUIN film starring KEIFER Sutherland.

I guess it's just realistic about the ordeals that our overseas workers go through while abroad, the sacrifices they have to make their dreams come true & also finding one's self. Watch it and judge for yourself. It's got a funny side too :-) so it's not sooooo drama naman.

Bill B (kr) wrote: Re-watched upon the occasion of upgrading to the Blu-ray that I bitched about wanting below! My only sadness is that's it's still just basically the film and no real features. Oh well.My initial capsule feelings:This is possibly one of my favorite films, starring an actor I love opposite an actress I think is super-hot, especially in this era of her career, so what I really wanna know after a recent re-watch is: Where the hell is my special edition Blu-ray of this one? It's a cute, fun movie that doesn't feel as dated as it could, given the time frame in which it was released, and I think most folks will enjoy this unless they insist on having weird hang-ups about a killer who finds easy redemption with the right girl.Recommended.

Erik W (ag) wrote: Solid follow up to what is easily one of the most disturbing horror films I have ever seen. Clive Barker is one fucked up guy. As of writing this review (2014) this was my first time through this gory sequel. I enjoyed it. The Pinhead back story was cool, the doctor character was a nice touch, and I was happy to see some of the cast return from the first film. My only real problem with it was that I felt it was just more of the same (though with more "hell-world" screen time). Definitely worth the watch, and definitely adding it to the normal rotation. As in the first, AMAZING practical FX.
