Sleepy Eyes of Death: In the Spider's Lair

The titular "tarantula" is a murderous woman who, along with the brother who is in love with her, kill without warrant because they are wealthy & above the law. Crystal C (br) wrote: A dark comedy that still delves into the human condition. By the end, the picture that the story paints is both horrifying and beautiful. It does not justify itself; it just is.

Jukka K (ag) wrote: I'm still not convinced about Vinterberg's directing skills, but the story works and there's some decent acting. The change of style for the third act is well executed, although I think it was a bad decision.

Great characters & costumes, fun weapons and gear (especially Billy the Kid's kit) and lots of action. I found the story a bit hard to follow, perhaps because I never read the comic series. Great sets & locations. Seems to have been a big production. Fun yet sad that I had to wait five years to discover it accidentally.
