Jennifer B (ru) wrote: Quirky French story within a story... contemplating the idea (twice) of a kiss with no consequence? Is it possible? As one other reviewer stated "who knew that holding back could be so hot???" hmmm ... I agree!

Susan P (mx) wrote: I thought it was very interesting and sometimes really disturbing (the prison scene, the goat). It was notable how similar Christianity is to Islam in regards to judging homosexuality - it's the same story, same misinterpreted lines! This was just a bit more extreme, with the whippings and executions and all. The individual stories were compelling, but the film did seem kind of long. Lots of blurred faces - loved the blurred penguin, haha! The filmmakers had a sense of humor, I like that. The old lady in Turkey was awesome, so were the Sufis. The footage of the different countries was really beautiful. I love the colors, the architecture, the food, etc.

April N (au) wrote: Loved the symbolism. Critics hated it. I loved the visuals.

Ben R (ca) wrote: Both the b&w and color version of this are absolutely terrible and it seems like everybody in front and behind the camera were on acid. That's not a compliment either.

Bob W (nl) wrote: Cushing and Lee are back together in another Hammer horror flick. Not as good as the Frankenstein and Dracula series, but at least different and more original. The special effects and makeup are quite poor, especially the headless gorgon.

jay n (de) wrote: Sprightly semi musical with the four leads all giving energetic performances. All four stars play well off each other, not just as male and female couples but in all there varied interactions. The supporting cast led by Connie Gilchrist and Robert Keith is perfect down to the smallest roles and Capra keeps it all moving at a lively clip.

Michael S (fr) wrote: Despite the lack of ghosts... or invisibility for that fact, this is another suspense/thriller with Bela Lugosi that- although has some good use of camerawork, doesn't quite overcome it's lack of logic, and has some of the suspense by explaining (sort of) one of the key elements of the story too early in the film.

Jude P (nl) wrote: So much pleasure to watch this movie and whoever said what, this is one of the best thrillers ever made.
