Tom D (au) wrote: A strong and endearing film. A dark tale set in 1970s Glasgow, this could have been relentlessly depressing, but there are moments of charm and warmth, and excellent performances make this stand out.

Steve W (es) wrote: Van Damme's Rush Hour, if that makes any sense. Rob Schneider and Van Damme have some good chemistry, along with some sidekicks in Lela Rochon and Michael Wong. The beginning is very slow, taking time to explain the plot. Then the action is non-stop. A cool fight scene pits Van Damme in a fruit factory against a mob of angry machete wielding baddies.According to imdb's trivia section Sammo Hung was the 2nd action director and filmed a great climax fight scene with Van Damme and the knife villain. The fight we see is only 30 seconds long and badly mutilated, and we never get to see it. This is probably the only downside to this action packed and cheesy movie.

Giovanni M (kr) wrote: A showcase for a top shelf incredible cast, Glengarry Glen Ross takes great actors and gives them a great script full of biting humor and vicious rhetoric. Alec Baldwin is probably the best part of the whole thing with a monologue that will make you shit yourself in awe.

Lee M (jp) wrote: A fascinatingly complex commentary on American mythology, exploring the relationship between the inner world of the imagination and the outer world of violence and paranoia, both of which were relevant to contemporary American traumas.

Matthew A (ag) wrote: Anton Walbrook gives an excellent performance as the acerbic narrator guiding the viewer and the players on for a ride of love: replete with its successes and failures. German director Max Ophuls rose to international fame with this quietly, sophisticated picture. The story eschews melodrama due to Walbrook's biting wit, and Ophuls' stylishly, clever direction.

Steve G (jp) wrote: Candyman 2 adds some interesting backstory to the saga but the acting is pretty weak and the movie overall is not scary.

Scott A (jp) wrote: Basically like all the others...lots of.corn and kids tou wanna smack the crap out of.But this one had some big cameos like kane Hodder and Fred Williamson....not to mention a younger Eva Mendez. But its weird the lead guy...is in real life a tranny now.

Dario R (ru) wrote: Thought I would hate this animated film, but it turns out it wasn't that bad (wasn't that good either). Somewhat interesting story, and the anime style of the film is pretty cool. Still Marvel has a long way to go with it's animated features to reach the level of it's live-action films.

Hkon S (us) wrote: Not bad. Took a long time to get rolling. Doesn't live up to its cast, at all. And a thoroughly disappointing and unsatisfactory ending.
