(ru) wrote: You could say that there are thematic inconsistencies within Idiots & Angels, but that would be a waste of time. Idiots & Angels, for having no dialogue and relying heavily on minimalist animation, packs tons of story and shovelfuls of symbolism, providing a commentary on the human condition. What we have here is a quirky redemption story with a healthy dose of black comedy, but the theme behind it and the imagery created is no laughing matter, as it deals with corruption and what lengths people will do to get what they want. Incredibly violent, yet always pointing towards something more, Idiots & Angels touches upon the duality within man, torn between the desire for money and the desire for love, as well as good and evil. All in all, Idiots & Angels is an incredibly unique and moving experience, well worth seeing.

(mx) wrote: Good, but not amazing, it did manage to recapture the spirit of noir in "modern" times. Although it was a tad plodding in places, it still built dread and suspense well.
