(mx) wrote: I liked the film's stark photography and am a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar (Sam Shepard too), but this film was a pretty dull horror film. It's stylishly directed, but a leadened script about SMG reliving a murder that happened fifteen years earlier was boring and not all that scary, creepy or interesting. Meh.

But did not deliver and ended like another forgettable slasher flicks. Lots and lots of potential but lays FLAT at the end. 3 out of 5 stars.

(ru) wrote: I loved this fourth installment in the excellent comedy/mystery series which thankfully hasn't been retried (yet--I'll keep my fingers crossed) cinematically. Although no longer based on Dashiell Hammett's novels, the script is still effective and the high standard of quality is still maintained.
