(de) wrote: Decent movie that comes off as half ripoff/half homage to Woody Allen's earlier work circa Annie Hall. Not the greatest movie, but somewhat delightful.
(es) wrote: Not always a pretty picture but an interesting documentation of a situation in a small town that so many people don't even know is still occurring. We often take it for granted that segregation is a thing of the past and the sad thing is it's not.
(jp) wrote: Whoever had creative control over the final draft of the screenplay should be shot with a ball of his/her own shit.
(kr) wrote: For a dark matter this is a beautiful film of human emotion. It's flawed rawness doesn't paint the happiness of pictures, but with heartfelt performances from both Hale Berry and Benicio Del Toro, this meets a level within you, not every viewer will appreciate

(jp) wrote: It gets put down a lot by being a archetype of the "Pulp Fiction" rip-offs that came out in the late 1990s, but even though it is that, I still thought it was a fun ride.
(nl) wrote: If it hadn't started so slowly for me I would've given this movie a four.
(br) wrote: An often fascinating film -- not good exactly, but never lacking in strange interest -- that features one of Brando's least 'methody' performances.
(jp) wrote: Another excellent entry to the fine samurai series. Zatoichi finds a dying man who begs him to escort the maiden Omitsu home, but she is wanted by two warring gangs for mysterious reasons. There are plenty of both wonderful fighting and emotional scenes--which separates this fine series from many of its competitors. Highly recommended.

(es) wrote: absolutlely brilliant.......hilarious.....wouldn't have missed seeing that movie....a must see...classic oldie...
(es) wrote: Not nearly as provocative as the title would have u believe but still it's enough to fire up any young lads imagination. What's more interesting to the rest of us is the chance to see a young blond pre-back to the future Crispin Glover cutting his acting teeth, even back then he was fun to watch.
(ca) wrote: A mediocre, Giallo spoof that is clever and has its moments, but ultimately falls flat. It's basically just an hour & a half of the female characters getting slapped and treated terribly. Some good gore, but overall pretty disappointing.
