John T (mx) wrote: Absolute garbage. The cinematography was weak. The effects were weak. The acting was weak. It moved too slow. No scary moments. The twist sucked.... nothing was going for this movie. There was a point where she was running away from some kidnappers and they walked towards her slowly reaching out. No running. Never did they try, and neither did the director.

Ken S (es) wrote: I love Woody allen, and I love Larry David. You'd hope that the two coming together on a project would yield tremendous Neurotic New York Jewish results...unfortunately the results are mixed. Part of the problem is that Allen had this old shelved script that he brought out and quickly rewrote to update the cultural references in order to make a movie before the Writers Strike that was looming at the time occurred. So the script isn't very tight, it feels in badly need of a rewrite, which Allen couldn't really do. David is sort of like a hybrid of the Woody Allen and Larry David personas, only more abrasive and a little less likable than both those personas. Evan Rachel Wood is good, but a lot of the storylines involving her parents feel like tangents. The movie isn't really awful, just a mixed bag that doesn't feel all that memorable.

MoVee F (kr) wrote: This was such a predictable movie. The acting was mediocre as much as the movie itself. Not worth watching AT ALL.

Johnny S (ag) wrote: Fourth entry in the Dirty Harry formula and the movie which gave the expression "Go ahead, make my day" new meaning. Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) is assigned to investigate a series of murders in which low-lifes have each been methodically shot in the forehead and in the genitals. the maverick cop discovers a lead taking him to artist Jennifer Spencer (Sondra Locke) who, along with her sister, was gang raped 10 years ago before. Now she is reaping revenge. Hard-hitting action flick with glimpses of humor.

Ted W (es) wrote: Wow! Those folks who made Airplane and all the modern parody films must have watched this little gem about a million times. This breaks all the rules and I can only imagine what the live show must have been like. Wonderfully fast paced and, if you don't like the last gag wait another 2 seconds and they'll give you a new one.
