Days before his birthday and weeks before his wedding, Tate Bradley, a twenty-five year old, African-American man attempts to commit suicide. He survives the ordeal, but from his actions, it is obvious that "Something is Killing Tate." The question is: "What?" Tate attempts to isolate himself to his apartment - hiding from the world.

(mx) wrote: I thought the ending was great, most of the documentary was a little bit too slow, I would of liked to of seen inside the actual building and where it was located, it pretty much just explained what she did in life, I would of preffered a little more facts, would of been better as a 1 hour documentary. worth.watching though its a shocking story.

(kr) wrote: With this flim well the special effects are done mainly as puppetry, with the odd guy in the suit moment and are not too bad. As for the acting... let's just say that it drags the film down and before long you don't care about the characters.
(br) wrote: I went for something a little offbeat and quirky and the reviews of this were off the charts. It's definitely weird. Not for those easily depressed. You also have to have a lot of patience to get through this movie. It's not usually a problem for me, but even I was tested. I don't think many of my peers will care for this one.

In IMAX 3D it was quite a sight and though it still packs a punch in 2D it loses something.I find that on repeat viewings it still carries an emotional edge, if only slight but still something to note. It's certainly worth a watch if only to make up your mind.
(kr) wrote: Insanely clever humor and story. Lubistch takes a scary time and shows a side of it that seems almost forbidden for the time. You can tell how the mix of politics and slapstick has inspired enormous amounts of work for years from Larry David to Mel Brooks to Woody Allen to Tarantino.
