She is befriended by a savvy party animal named Crawl, who convinces the ambivalent Rebecca to stay in the city. When Thanksgiving break rolls around, Rebecca, no longer an innocent farm girl, invites Crawl back to South Dakota, where he pretends to be her fiancé.

Meaning to thwart the advances of a hometown boy, a college student takes her California surfer roomie to her Midwestern home for Thanksgiving and passes him off as her husband-to-be. Paul D (mx) wrote: This sequel is almost equally as bad as the first. However, this one did have a few more interesting cameos in it. The effects are still awful, but they also seemed slightly improved. It takes pride in how bad it is. Pure nonsense with a sense of humor.

Kyle B (jp) wrote: A really exciting movie with great performances from Oscar Isaac, Kirsten Dunst, and Viggo Mortensen. I watched this movie over the corse of two night and I cut it off at the right moment before a big pinnacle scene takes place that ups the suspense and thrills of the movie to why it got to be 4 1/2 stars rather than just 4. That final chunk of the movie would have been an excellent short film but that's not to say the first half of the movie is not worth your time because it is. Great costumes, cinematography, and writing and a really wonderful score and direction from a debut director. It has that Hitchcock feel to it but is unlike a lot of movies I have seen. Definitely worth tracking down

Najd G (mx) wrote: Intricately interesting plot that, like many intricately interesting plots do, betrays logic and misleads the viewer. I have to stop trusting movies that are obviously building to a conclusion that has to be so grandiose that it could never satisfy the elaborate groundwork that's been established.I did love the gimmick of watching the movie in reverse, though.

Justin R (ru) wrote: A good crime drama with Clark Gable, William Powell, Mryna Loy & a very young Mickey Rooney. The movie is historically signifigant for being the movie John Dillinger saw at Chicago's Biograph theater just before he was shot dead by Melvin Pervis on July 22, 1934 (as depicted in "Public Enemies")

Luis O (gb) wrote: The song being played by the band during the musical is "Der Fuehrer"s Face", an Academy Award winning anti-Nazi song by Spike Jones and His City Slickers that used flatulence-resembling sound effects.

David E (es) wrote: The scenery was beautiful and at times felt so real, and that was the downfall. In return it made the rubbery cartoon characters look so out of place. I felt like Pixar didn't take its time with this at all!

Russell S (mx) wrote: This all time classic with an excellently paced first half and a slightly baggy second half, is nevertheless top family entertainment which is as iconic as it is timeless.
