The director stated that this movie is to be viewed as if through the eyes of Rose and that is the only thing that kept me from giving it just two stars. It is extremely dark and the few times I did laugh I felt wrong afterwards when assessing the seriousness of the situation. Every character in this movie is emotionally unstable and it all leads to a literal train wreck. Quite a unique film, i'll give it that.

Marina N (kr) wrote: I can;t help to think that this film was supposed to be something different and interesting but ended up neither this nor that. De Niro as the shy police officer is fully in his role. Uma Thurman is well cast as Murray'd thank you gift to De Niro. Murray is good but doesn't play a character different to the one he usually plays. Some parts are funny, some have a distinct dark feel. Yet, altogether, it doesn't sum up to a coherent picture.

Brandon S (au) wrote: Russ Meyer back in the saddle of sexploitation, this film is focused on a man whose wife that is feed up with her husband's lack of libido and how she freely goes out and gets it from whereever she can. The film is humorous and honest one of the better nudie films to come out of the bosom ridden mind of Meyer.
Anshuman K (au) wrote: Creepy and unsettling, the movie doesn't fail to creep you out from the very moment Caleb arrives at Nathan's house till the very end. The cast is solid and I love how great and grounded the dialogue really is plus the fact this is a very confined movie, in the literal sense gives you this sense of claustrophobia that hasn't been matched by any movie that year.
