John R (au) wrote: 130322: I really did not know what to think of this film after seeing it. It just left me a little flat and I didn't appreciate its musical nature. I found the songs uninspiring but some eventually occurring, good action kept the film palatable. Mushu was another saving grace. Eddie Murphy's voice brought a smile to my face and he just completed the character. Mushu was fun. For some reason I had waited a long time with a copy of Mulan II in order to see this film first. I'm glad I did. They have to be seen in sequence to be fully enjoyed. As a matter of fact, I found each film enhanced my appreciation of the other, an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Nice work Disney.

Keith W (kr) wrote: In what can only be a disturbing and shocking film I was amazed at how beautiful were the countryside settings for the death camps. It was also very interesting to see what is now archive footage of central and eastern Europe esp. the railway sequences. This is a must see for all mankind.

Vu N (it) wrote: i have seen it in my school and has a lot of funny scenes in it.

Robert K (mx) wrote: I hated this piece of crap. I give it 10% for the photography. This film is what they call a vanity project; Kirk Douglas hamboning it through as the last of the cowboys, asserting his independence in the face of civilization. Nothing in this film makes sense, from the motivation behind Douglas' relationship with his best friend to the climax where he can't figure out how to walk his horse across the highway. Everything is thrown on the screen as if we're just supposed to relate to these great archetypes that come off as nothing more than cardboard characters. Maybe this was a great cultural statement in 1962, but today it comes across preachy and lead-footed. The horse was good.
