(us) wrote: Mentally disturbed Winnie Leung (Charlene Choi) spends her days cooking, carving wooden dolls, and writing in her diary. But all her favorite hobbies can't help Winnie get over her breakup with her boyfriend Seth (Shawn Yue), until one day she see's a man who bears a striking resemblance to her ex. Starting up a conversation with him, the two start dating, but things spin out of control for Winnie when the truth comes out about what happened to her ex boyfriend Seth...and nothing is what it seems.Being a big fan of Oxide Pang I had to check this one out, and though the storyline is pretty much a less potent version of MAY, I wasn't disappointed.I will admit, some of the plot twists are fairly predictable for the more perspicacious minds but entertaining non the less. Oxide Pang brings his character Winnie Leung's psychosis to life through visually haunting images and a time fractured storyline that only gives you fragments of the events as they are, or as they appear to be according to Winnie's mind. Solid plot with plenty of twists, and equally solid acting. If you are a fan of Asian horror (and more specifically the Pang Brothers) then you should check this one out

(ag) wrote: So bad. illogical and painful to watch it is not recommendable at any level whatsoever. Everyone should avoid "Dead Meat".
(nl) wrote: A comedy that is actually funny.
(us) wrote: Under-rated movie about two guys in the business world. One is a young kid ladies man trying to get out of the mail room and the other is very successful but hates his personal life. They both try to help each other. Tommy Davidson is really good but the lead actor is terrible. He cannot act. Of course Halle Berry is hot as hell.

(ru) wrote: Took the major problems of the first two and almost completely got rid of them by replacing them with a great adventure with Indiana and his father/Eskimo Brother. The action sequences aren't as fun but also not as absurd or relied upon. It does feel stretched out at points and relatively safe, but it's still better than the first two.

(kr) wrote: Il Gatto A 9 Code is considered as one of Argento's best movies but it is an average thriller. You can find many better movies in the career of the italian director, so don't put this one in your top-list!

(ru) wrote: a wonderful uplifting british drama about four strangers who go to the same tower to commit suicide but make a pack to not go ahead and do it but then do it on valentine's day to turn around and be in each other's lives to make them better.
(nl) wrote: Woody Allen overflows genius in "Broadway Danny Rose". An incredibly wise comedy, while at the same time philosophical and romantic, the story of the developing agent Danny Rose, who does everything and is dedicated to the maximum to their artists. Footless dancers, one-armed jugglers, ventriloquists stutterers, among others, Danny always tries to do everything, but he is confident in its most precious asset, singer Lou Canova, drunk and moody. Danny tries to do everything to achieve convincing lover Lou, Tina, to go to their show of nostalgia. The story may seem weak, but the film is really exciting, captivating and strong. Woody Allen offers the most both in script and in direction, acting brilliantly alongside Mia Farrow, Nick Forte to Appolo. "Broadway Danny Rose" is a show that never ends. Fantastic!

(ca) wrote: I always had a morbid curiosity in seeing this critically panned movie. The premise isn't bad on the very surface of it: a slumlord is made to live in his tenement and bring it up to code or go to jail. Somewhere between the premise being imagined and the script being written, everything falls apart. Insensitivity isn't a problem, but overt racism is. With a few rewrites, this could have been a halfway decent vehicle; instead, it shows white people as money grubbers and the ghetto as a place where only minorities live. Having grown up in New York City, I don't deny the demographics on display do exist, but white people are poor and live in crappy neighborhoods too. And naturally, what starts out with people at odds with one another ends in a paint-by-numbers hug-and-learn finale. Of course, there's always winning lines like "I wanna take you to lunch. Forget the lunch, let's just hump!" to remember this classic by. Ugh.

(it) wrote: I wasn't really prepared for how good this was. I wasn't a big fan of the first two Mission Impossible movies, but they've gotten better since, and this last entry was probably the best flat-out action movie I've seen in a decade or more. Highly recommended!
