John W (nl) wrote: Frostbite aka The Movie Out Here is a Canadian throwback to the 80's sex comedy. The entire genre can be summed up as "small town fish out of water buddy's in trouble let's throw a party to make everything right and figure out life at the same time and we'll have a successful happy ending". Stupid jokes and unpretentious, silly fun. As a bonus, it has Katharine Isabelle in a cute supporting role.

Sampson B (de) wrote: Amazing and beautiful movie, it shows how much of a bond can be made between two people that have never met.The actors were superb and the plot brilliant, would definately watch again.

Shawn M (ag) wrote: I usually prefer the Marvel Universe. It's just more fun, but there is something to be said for the darker side - DC. This installment in particular was excellent. If you get the chance, give it a look.

Lester Y (au) wrote: If you're willing to enjoy the ride and tread through two and a half hours of messy, garbled coming-of-age narrative, there's a stunning visual masterpiece just waiting for you. For the most part on a visual standpoint, All About Lily Chou Chou is what I would imagine Dream Pop would look like. It's slow, mellow, and warmly hypnotic, with lots of open space and occasional beams of blinding light. Check out that incredible kite-flying sequence. A portion of the movie (detailing a flashback to summer vacation) is shot almost entirely in handheld digital camera, and it's done in a natural and pretty creative way. Visual quirks (like the ever-present computer text that dominates probably a fourth of the film) add to the immersion, and overall the "internet" moments perfectly capture the Ether aspect of the youth-centric storyline. Speaking of which, there's actually a worthwhile, comprehensive plot in here somewhere. It's a haunting drama about teenage cruelty, manipulation, and the search for solace from the chaos of real life. Because it's not told in a chronological (and arguably, decipherable) way, you don't really know what you're watching sometimes, and it actually tries to be ambiguous when you just want to know what's going on. This is the second time I watched the film and while I got most of the story down, there are still a few scenes that I don't entirely understand. But as the film glacially unravels itself, the more seductive it becomes. The soundtrack also draws you closer to this world, it's one of my favorites ever! If this type of thing's not your bag, sitting through this will not be very pleasant. Otherwise, those who seek a jawdropping audiovisual feast will enjoy All About Lily Chou Chou immensely. I know I did.

Ted W (kr) wrote: For a baby sitters movie great but if you watch it in 2000s terrible. For a 80s movie awesome. Not the best movie put not the worst. Ok..., I have nothing else to say.

Canes D (mx) wrote: Arguably one of the best films ever made. Like the title suggest it stars a troubled teen who trying to find a purpose. Awesome on all levels from soundtrack, ESPECIALLY the ACTING, cinematography, etc. Jimmy Stark unfortunately died about two months after the films release but his legendary performance shown in this film earned him an Oscar. A lot of teen drama films today just don't have the same vibe (most involve fitting in, partying, and getting laid) this is an incredible drama with realistic people and situations that people can find relatable. 10/10
