David S (jp) wrote: Pitifully boring low-budget film about a lonely man who envisions his favorite actress visiting his ice cream truck and accepting a date with this loser. Only, we come to find, it's all in his head, and we get the simple beginning of his descent into madness and retribution. The actress was a pleasant on-screen draw, and the character of Warren is performed quite well, but this movie just bored the crap out of me.

Darian T (de) wrote: Rating: 4.5I might have liked this film if I were 17 years old and went to watch it with a bunch of male friends. Alas, from an artistic POV, I find this film--like its protagonist--to be lame, puerile, and banal. That it has won accolades and seems popular with the crowd is not testament to how good it is, but a reflection of the sad state of Taiwanese cinema and the poor taste of Asian audiences in general.Narrative: 1.5/3Cast: 1.5/3Aesthetics: 1.5/3

James H (br) wrote: Jennifer Love Hewitt gives a very entertaining performance. The film is predictable but not without it's charms. The cast is good, it has some very funny moments and I was never bored. Good score. Better than average teen comedy.

Samuel S (ru) wrote: As most war films of this era the concentration of the plot surrounds a ragtag crew overcoming odds to finally win the day against villainous enemy. Thankfully the film is filled with amazing actors filling the shoes of some interesting characters. On top of that the film never stereotypes the Asian culture like many other films but shoes them in an honorable samurai type of light which is very advance from a film of 1958.

Me gusto mucho. De esas canciones, reconoci inmediatamente "Wade In The Water", "In That Great Getting Up Morning" y la hermosa "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot".La actriz Yvonne De Carlo hizo un buen trabajo y la historia esta bien contada.
