Daniel V (ca) wrote: I love this style of movie as much as anyone, but "Zombeavers" simply lacks consistency in drawing out the emotions -- with horror and comedy -- that is required for a movie like this to be worth recommending. Despite a few great moments, it falls short.

Marcus B (ru) wrote: OK, first of all, if you're not a fan of "Galactica" and haven't seen at least first two seasons, this movie will be incomprehensible gibberish for you. Watch the TV-series, then come back. For the rest of us, "The Plan" provides a rather fascinating view from the other side of the hill.

Evan M (mx) wrote: Great animation, fun new characters, sentimental ending and interesting plotline, there really isn't much to say about Toy Story 3.

Mark A (fr) wrote: Henry Darger was a reclusive retired janitor who lived quietly in Chicago. Upon his death, his landlady discovered a side to him that no one suspected. He wrote several journals, detailing his life story, and a novel that takes up 15,000 pages, describing a surreal battle between good and evil, led by seven mythical sisters. He also painted several large murals, illustrating his tale. Strange fellow, indeed. This documentary tries to convey some of the grandeur of his life's work. A little dry for this viewer's taste, and the sheer volume of the work makes it difficult to assess the artistic value. Some of the images are quite bizarre, indicating an unfamiliarity with female anatomy. A mildly interesting look at the work of one who epitomizes outsider art.

Dylan M (au) wrote: Over the Hedge is an underrated and forgotten animation film in my opinion due to being in the shadows of more popular animations like Pixar and Shrek . I used to love this movie as a kid and as I re-watch it today it still holds up and amuses me. The best thing for an animation film like Over the Hedge is to have an entertaining enough plot and characters to please its audience, and it think it accomplishes that. The movie can be quite funny at times even with some pretty silly not so good moments. The animation isn't the best I have seen but its still due-able. There are also a lot of good strong voices behind the animals including Bruce Willis, Eugene Levy, and Steve Carrell. The best part about this movie has to be the squirell Hammy as he brings the most laughs and energy. Over the Hedge overall is a clever film that is fun for the whole family.

Jeffrey M (gb) wrote: Truman succeeds at being a comprehensive, well acted, informative, and generally well written biopic. Undoubtedly the portrayal of Truman was too charitable, but the level of humanity that Gary Sinise was able to inject really carried the film throughout. I would have liked to see the more aggressive side of Truman, and some of his internal political battles with his own party, but for its running time, Truman manages to cover a lot of ground, and does so in a largely effective way.3.5/5 Stars

David R (jp) wrote: Antonioni's lovely final feature, with four stories of thwarted/unconsummated love linked by a photographer/narrator (John Malkovich). Through Malkovich's narration, Antonioni shines a light on his processes, as a filmmaker, storyteller, lover. The ambiguities of his earlier films are released here in favor of a glorious (if unconsummated) sensuality, which would reign in his films through to his recent death. And the sequence of Malkovich on the beach (guest-directed by Wim Wenders) is just stunning.

Rob M (es) wrote: The second film I saw with Sean Penn, and the first with Nicolas Cage. About two friends growing up as WWII was starting. Also had freakish Crispin Glover before he got into the acid. A good buddy movie..and a good chick flick.

Juan David C (es) wrote: The continuous stream of sight, sound, and motion creates a here-and-now excitement that immerses the viewer in the cinematic experience. In order to blur the border between art and nature, the technological history of film can in fact be viewed as a continual evolution toward greater realism. The motion picture has progressed step by step from drawings, to photographs, to projected images, to sound, to color, to wide screen, to 3-D and beyond. All right, but what the filmmakers did with this film aiming to accomplish such realism is just madness.
