I was expecting a diarrhoea of a comedy but what we get instead is a polished turd. The plot is a string of unstructured events with kiss-chase romances at the heart of it and they most likely got the title from the age group which wrote the material (prepare for simple sexual innuendos, fart gags and exaggerated homosexual impersonations). Nevertheless, Jack Black, Michael Cera and talented extras such as David Cross thankfully bring their own funny and familiar characteristics, making the comedy funnier than it actually was due to good timing and delivery. They are basically playing their usual selves. Jack Black, the eccentric and naive rocker. Michael Cera, the quick-witted but passive adolescent. Probably a wrong pairing since they don't share any strong chemistry but if you're fans of these actors individually then there is something here to amuse.
Jason J (br) wrote: The title of this movie is strange as it's more about lost items being sought after by a ghostly woman in black rather than a haunted train. It's definitely atmospheric and creepy. What a shame that Erika and Shun's acting is a bit stiff. Another problem I've got is the ending - where's the explanation about the tunnel with all those corpses and why did Noriko survive and nobody else? If you've got 90 mins to spare then take a look at this but there are many better J-horror titles around.

Jason P (de) wrote: i was pleasantly surprised at the witty banter and clever comebacks. The dialogue was quite well written and makes me curious as to whether or not other James Webb/Robert Aldrich teamups are as good. The history of the movie's setting is also quite interesting...
Douglas M (es) wrote: This boring piece of crap movie tries way too hard to be complex and intelligent. It's neither. It's nonsensical rubbish full of plot holes, but some people may like it for the visuals I suppose.
