Brian B (ca) wrote: Many of today's horror movies are garbage and have many problems. But this movie works on so many different levels. It's about a troubled family who finds a book called "Mister Babadook". After reading it, weird things go on and the kid starts believing that the monster is real. It was expertly shot and each scene sends fear down your spine. What really stands out is how great the editing was. It made us fear the night sequences in the movie and it was so terrifying that I had to pause the movie a few times in the last half hour. The story is also really powerful as it displays the characters emotions real well and it does a nice job setting up what they're going through. This movie has everything that many other modern horror films don't have. The horror genre might be dying out but this movie shows us that it's not completely gone. This movie is definitely up there with horror classics like "The Shining" and "The Exorcist". Let's just hope that this brand of horror won't be dying out. Thank you to "Jennifer Kent" for this brilliant work of art and hopefully we'll see more from her.

Bill R (nl) wrote: Saw this greatest of all caper films theatrically in 1964, and it inspired in me a determination to go to the Topkapi museum in Istanbul and see the sultan's dagger. It took 35 years to fulfill this ambition, but I finally did it in 1999.

Ryan C (nl) wrote: This Chevy Chase mystery comedy is surprisingly entertaining as it is hilarious as Chase plays an undercover reporter who is asked to commit murder. The music to this movie, however, is painfully annoying and distracting.

Gary M (us) wrote: Very slow. Pretty boring. it was okay. Not much to say about it.
