Allan C (gb) wrote: Okay enough by-the-numbers western starting Robert Mitchum as a sherif looking to get even with the man who killed his son. Writer/director Burt Kennedy was never a brilliant filmmaker, but he did build up a pretty solid track record of making entertaining westerns. This one was more serious than his usual Dirty Dingus Magee/Support Your Local Gunfighter-type of western/comedies, but it did work to a certain extent. It's all pretty unoriginal, but if you enjoy westerns and like the cast (Robert Mitchum, Angie Dickinson, David Carradine), you'll probably find the film worth watching.

Ro I (br) wrote: That was a messed up movie. Poor Emile getting beat-up. Then to find out his best friend-lover, turns out to be his half-brother. Sigourney was great as a mom in this film, not like some of the others.

Orlok W (nl) wrote: Pretty good movie with a film star ghost and a belligerent gang--Enjoyably silly supernatural horror!!
Luke W (br) wrote: I liked a good deal of the performances, especially The Who and Janis Joplin, but too many groups (Hugh Masekela, Country Joe & The Fish) were just too weird for me to enjoy.

Daryl K (us) wrote: Pretty good follow-up to 'The Thin Man', but not as clever, or twisty plot-wise. Stars William Powell and Myrna Loy still have great chemistry together. Also features a young Jimmy Stewart, and a pre-'Blondie' (and pre-blonde) Dorothy McNulty AKA Penny Singleton.
Lucas B (ag) wrote: For sure this is my fave teen cult classic film. It has such amazing characters, highlight for Sarah Michelle Gellar's evil bitch Kathryn, and still today it is very quotable.
Gavin P (kr) wrote: A very comprehensive documentary, covering four years of William & Arthur's lives. As well as watching them follow their dreams, we also get to see what it's like for some people to live below the poverty line, and how professional even high school basketball is - it's an extremely tough path to get all the way to the NBA. Gives equal amounts of time to each person and to their on-court off-court lives. Long, but enjoyable.
Austin W (us) wrote: From the makers of Coraline which i consider one of the greatest animated movies of all time comes Paranorman a film that is considered by many to be as good if not better than Coraline and... I disagree but at the same time i can see why this is so well liked. It has a complexity to it that has not been captured by any other stop motion picture. It's also very mature and teaches a lesson that resonates well with alot of people and it's a lesson that's not overdone. But while i do respect Paranorman i was far from entertained by it. The comedy fell flat, the character models were very uncomfortable looking, the story and premise had a unique twist but was far from original and i thought it lacked that raw creativity that made Coraline so brilliant. But i will recommend it to most older kids and adults because there is alot of stuff in here that people will like. I just couldn't get into it as a whole.
Marah R (us) wrote: Great performances and splendid cinematography but the story is a little dull and the film dragged on longer than it needed.
