(ca) wrote: The first Wolf Creek was a horrendous movie. I am not sure why I even decided to watch the sequel but I am glad I did. Unlike the original, Wolf Creek 2 doesn't take long to get to the action. It focuses on the menacing series killer Mick Taylor and his treatment of foreigners visiting the good ol Outback. He is like a mean and twisted, yet still kind of fun Crocodile Dundee. The film keeps a good pace and I liked how almost every death and chase/kill scene was slightly different. Some of the actors overdid it a little and got annoying but they never lasted long anyway. This was gruesome and sick and if you have seen any of the Hostel movies, you can expect some similar scenes. The last part of the film was very thrilling and although I would of liked a better ending, it was enjoyable enough overall to overlook that. If you like dark, yet not to serious serial killer movies, Wolf Creek 2 surprises with a strong main character and interesting scenes.

It starts off as a story about a whore house, then segues into politics, in the middle it becomes a boxing film and at the end it's more towards a May December type romance. Interesting enough, but won't be getting a rewatch.

(jp) wrote: Probably the most bizarre and nonsensical films I have seen in a long time. The dialogue is awful and the editing is just plain...I don't know what. But it's still a fun cheesy romp. As long as you can get passed the stupidity of it all. Some of the acting is well done (Jim Byrnes & Peter Wingfield) while others are just awful (Adrian Paul, what happened to you!?!) If you go into this expecting a cheesy Sci-Fi channel made for TV movie that's heavy on the cheese then you won't be disappointed. I've seen worse films on the Sci-Fi (I refuse to spell it the other way) channel and elsewhere. According to the Wikipedia article the writers, producers and pretty much everyone else involved with the film likes to think of it as a dream/nightmare and not part of Highlander canon. As long as you look at it that way we're okay.
(fr) wrote: It's like a gayer "Boogie Nights." Ryan Phillipe spends half the movie with his shirt off and Mike Myers basically plays a SNL character. Salma Hayek was sure hot back in the late '90s as was Never Cambell...but this movie is a dud.

(gb) wrote: I can't believe that it took me almost 30 years to see this. I thought I had watched every spoof movie ever made, but this one slipped past me. Then when you consider how much I love James Cagney movies...it is almost a crime. Michael Keaton does a great Cagney type character, he has the lingo and swagger and the facial expressions all down, but Joe Piscopo, steals the show as Vermin. He gets the best lines and my favorite line is when his lackey tells him that they cannot park because it is a handicapped parking spot and Vermin tells him that he is handicapped, he's psychotic. It's campy, but it's supposed to be. Just a cute light movie.
(us) wrote: This movie started off really well and story was really interesting...until the part where she started to be the actress of a movie..then it got really confusing and I have no idea what or why she's scared! But there are some freaky moments worth watching...not one of the best Thai horror maybe bcos writer was trying to make a diff view on the story?!?
(us) wrote: This is some sap worthy of Lifetime, except of course, that it stars Bette Davis, so she raises it above smultz, and tears. Bogey is in here as a minor character, who isn't baddass, so I chose it ignore it. The ending is a jarring one.
