Kenji is your typical teenage misfit. He’s good at math, bad with girls, and spends most of his time out hanging out in the all-powerful online community known as OZ. His second life is the only life he has – until the girl of his dreams, Natsuki, hijacks him for a starring role as a fake fiancé at her family reunion. Things only get stranger from there. A late-night email containing a cryptic mathematic riddle leads to the unleashing of a rogue AI intent on using the virtual world of OZ to destroy the real world. As Armageddon looms on the horizon, Kenji and his new “family” set aside their differences and band together to save the worlds they inhabit in this "near-perfect blend of social satire and science fiction."

Sara S (nl) wrote: I love this movie! I remember watching the vhs all the time and it was the edited version but when I heard there was an uncut version I needed to watch it to see what it looks like. The animation is beautiful done by the great japanese studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha entertainment who was responsible for Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain for the christmas special, Tiny Toons, Batman, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Ducktales, Sonic X, Inspector Gadget and many others. The songs we're great. The story is nice. The boomps and Icarus are my favorites characters in the film. The voice acting we're well especially the great especially the great Mickey Rooney as the mischievous Flip!

Ben T (jp) wrote: Chariots of Fire is a well made film with good directing and great acting. The musical score is the best part of the film and this is an entertaining film with lots of great British actors, with the stand out being Ian Holm. The problem is this is a very slow paced film and it does get quite boring at times, also this isn't a very memorable movie. While the opening scene is an iconic scene in all of cinema the rest of this film is very forgettable. I don't hate this movie, it's a good movie with some tense running scene but this is an overrated movie that didn't deserve to win best picture at the oscars over Raiders of the Lost Ark. Chariots of Fire is a good film with some great elements but is overall very forgettable and fairly overrated. B

Brett H (es) wrote: Definitely over-hyped as a spoof classic, Police Academy has some funny ideas, but has no idea what to do with them and settles for lowest-common-denominator laughs that rarely land. The varied cast amounts to nothing more than their respective gimmicks (with the most famous being Michael Winslow's character who is amazing at producing realistic sound effects) and most of the characters are completely forgettable. The story is where the movie should have shined with average joes being given the opportunity to try out for the police squad, but the joke never goes further than the basic premise and was a real missed opportunity. There are some funny jokes every once in a while with some of the best coming from Tackleberry, who's a complete nut and obsessed with firearms but they are far and few between with most of the scenes abruptly ending with a lame transition that cuts the joke short. It's completely harmless and can pass you by, but given the pop culture status I expected a lot more and could only think while watching that Animal House and Fast Times at Ridgemont High did this type of sophomoric humour much better!
