(es) wrote: Beautiful but long movie! I rented movie and was able to do other things during some of the very slow parts. It does jump around a lot but it truly is a beautiful movie.
(br) wrote: A sad but also thought provocking documentary that skillfully examines both chimpanzee nature and examines the ethics of medical experiments on such animals. Its a fascinating documentary and a compelling drama that should not be missed
(au) wrote: Love this movie the fact that a Kid could see dead people in an animated story just did it for me.
(gb) wrote: Not bad. Not bad at all.
(fr) wrote: An average horror film with lots of predictable moments. Although it's not entirely bad but there were a lot of cheap scares.

(au) wrote: I've been watching to watch this movie for a long time, and I'm glad I finally did.The story is sweet and sad. And the irony in the movie is beautiful. Edward looks evil but has a sweet and pure heart. The town and townspeople look sweet and innocent, but are evil. There were some parts of the movie that I had to trudge through, but overall it was an enjoyable movie.

While their, Maynard soon forgets about the treasure when he falls head over heels over captive hostage in distress, Edwina Mansfield (Linda Darnell). Great looking picture without much going on, and the tone drags because of predictable moments. And sometimes Robert Newton as Blackbeard grow quite tiresome. 2.5 out of 4

(kr) wrote: Tragicomedy about an unethical Irish cultchie blagging his way into high society around 18th century Europe. Stanley Kubrick blagged a couple of very fancy camera lenses (50mm f/0.7) from Nasa in order to shoot it. The result which was filmed mostly around Ireland is period perfection and looks absolutely stunning.I don't think it's in Kubrick's very top tier but it's still a fantastic film and well worth watching for the visuals alone. There are some genuinely funny moments and the tragic stuff works well also.
