Lamees M (fr) wrote: Inspiring, moving and encouraging for those who have a God-given talent to go for it one foot in front of the other. Touching, real and based on a true life story.

Shane K (br) wrote: I don't know how, but this movie fell below my pitiful expectations. I sat down to watch this with my family about a year ago...I was thirteen and out of all of us should have been able to laugh at the fart jokes, but despite my immaturity I am able to comprehend that this film is absolute shit. I sat through the whole movie not laughing once. I DIDN'T LAUGH ONCE. Not a smile. Just like all of Adam Sandler's movies, it's boring, immature, a waste of my time, and plain idiotic. It's just like all of his other movies, manchild is dumb, learns to be a better person, and gets this reward he doesn't deserve. And OF COURSE he made a fuck ton of money off this.

Private U (jp) wrote: Obscure, but amazing. One of the best written, best executed martial arts movies I've ever seen. In a genre built on cliches and twice-run fight scenes, this tale of vengeance takes on great significance and originality. I highly reccomend...

Stuart K (mx) wrote: Directed by Jacques Tourneur (Cat People (1942) and The Comedy of Terrors (1963)), and based on the 1911 short story Casting the Runes by M.R. James, this is a very creepy horror film with some quite nasty scares. It touches upon the themes of the occult like The Devil Rides Out (1968) would later do, and this has become a cult favourite on both sides of the Atlantic. Professor Harrington (Maurice Denham) is killed in a freak accident outside his home, and he was about to expose some damning information about Dr. Julian Karswell (Niall MacGinnis). American Dr. John Holden (Dana Andrews) has just arrived in London to attend a seminar Harrington was to have attended, but when he's informed of Harrington's death, he teams up with Harrington's niece Joanna (Peggy Cummins), using Harrington's notes as clues as to how he might have died. It leads them to Karswell, who they discover is the leader of a satanic cult. But, things get darker when Holden comes into possession of a piece of paper with runic inscriptions on it, which Karswell tells him will lead to his eventually death, and the only way to lift the curse is to pass the piece of paper on. It's a very effective horror film for it's day with some good scares and Tourneur keeps the mood up and it has a brilliant finale on the London to Southampton line. It's one of the best British horror films of the 1950's, and it makes good use of it's locations too.

Nick B (fr) wrote: It had it's moments but overall not really worth your time. Decent sound track but bad writing makes this a bad watch

Merab G (br) wrote: Awful. Kill of Kirk, Kill Picard's family, destryoy the enterprise again and also make data babble like a baby..
