Sweet Revenge

Sweet Revenge

Sweet Revenge was originally shipped out as Dandy, the All-American Girl. The multitalented Stockard Channing plays a car thief with a penchant for elaborate disguises. She hopes to trade in her stolen goods and purchase a snazzy sports model for herself. Sam Waterston costars as a public defender who, much against his will, falls in love with the charming thief. Producer/director Jerry Schatzberg seems so certain of Channing's considerable talents that he feels a coherent story is unecessary.

Mark M (mx) wrote: This is a worth while watch if for nothing more than the framing of the scenes. There must be over a hundred printable cels from this movie that could grace any home art collection. The movie shows the struggle between science and religion is a tangible way. The director does a great job of developing conflict and shows the complexity involved with its resolution. For anyone who has ever gone fossil hunting this is a must see. But if you just love pretty things this is worth a viewing. And Mark Knopfler has created yet another sound track worthy of his name

Jon N (gb) wrote: This movie has a nice story idea of a live assassination broadcast around the world sadly let down by low budgets and poor acting

Arun L (de) wrote: hmm only 2 things i liked are ____their chemistry , and priyanka she is awsome :)

Kris V (fr) wrote: Funny and quirky crime thiller with some actors I really appreciate (Kevin Nealon, Kip Pardue) and an edgy story that keeps surprising. Very recommended, and extremely underrated.

Thomas H (kr) wrote: Unfortunately, nowhere near as good as the first film. The high suspense of the original was severely lacking and the acting was way over the top. It's such a shame that such a classic as Battle Royale has a poorly constructed and forgettable sequel.

Maximus A (fr) wrote: it was alright. didn't like the acting so much. It had some good humor moment.

Peter G (jp) wrote: One of the first movies I saw as a child and it remains one of my favorites. Tragic, comic, unforgettable.

Zachary Y (jp) wrote: Turturro is an out-of-touch weirdo. This movie shoudln't have been made. A trite and heavily played out plot that goes nowhere (literally, not even showing sex at all) It was like Woody Allen sloppily improvised his lines, costars often coaching him for details (senility?) and the rest of the cast nearly laughing in each scene at how bad Paradis and Turturo's acting is.

Danny M (au) wrote: Watchable, not brilliant.
