Panta O (au) wrote: This Australian drama is written and directed by Peter Duncan but it is actually kind of a remake of the 1998 Dutch film "De Poolse bruid". I am recommending it if you are not familiar with the Australian cinematography because somehow manages to gather everything important from it... The story about an outback farmer (William McInnes) who takes in an Afghani woman (Monic Hendrickx) after she escapes from a brothel is very touching one. The film takes on many themes - from human trafficking and the sex trade, hard life in the outback, to the corruption in police. Nominated for 10 Australian Film Institute Awards at its 2008 ceremony, it won three, including Best Screenplay, Best Actress (Monic Hendrickx) and Best Actor (William McInnes). Very smooth performance from one of my favourite actors made this film exceptional. I hope you'll have a chance to enjoy watching it, too!

Noah B (ru) wrote: A great drama with great direction that hit really close to home with me. Olivier Assayas does a great job directing and the actors all give fantastic performances. A superb movie overall.

Emile T (br) wrote: Is it possible ? A movie full of flaws, that still touches you, that still breakes you ? For me, Factory Girl proved it. Guy Pearce was perfect as Andy Warhol, while Sienna Miller did a good job. Hayden Christensen played well Bob Dylan (under another name because it is still not sure Eddie had an affair with him). There was something wrong with the direction and the screenplay, but yet both surprisingly great. There are way many movies showing imposant figures falling from high, but the beautiful Factory Girl really joined me, and I undeniably fell in love with this film. Every single person sould find something to love in this movie.

Miguel R (ca) wrote: xXx: State of the Union is a boring action flick packed with meaningless explosions and tedious action sequences

Jack R (fr) wrote: One of the all-time worst, in my opinion. It portrays Patch Adams, a hard-working, scrupulous man, as a complete jackass with no adherence to reality. I kind of couldn't believe what I was watching when I saw this movie, such as during the "eight fingers" scene. I couldn't believe a movie that took itself so seriously would be this ridiculous.

Scott K (de) wrote: Feels very different than the first one -- a bit darker. Nice try, but it doesn't quite work.

Steve C (ru) wrote: Well its no Citizen Kane, but it is an entertaining film.

Rohan G (kr) wrote: Good movie... Maybe just not enough action after a vicious start. Still good though

Brendan H (ca) wrote: The best martial arts film you've never heard of. Yes the comedy is terrible, but that's part of the appeal. Anytime Chan, Hung & Biao team up you better have your mouthguard in! Contains one of the two best fight scenes ever filmed: Jackie vs Benny the Jet. Stap yourself in!

Cris D (ca) wrote: I am watching it now. It is definitely a low budget Horror flick. The first striking question I have is why couldn't the producers find a more desolate Island to film on? The survivors of the first attack act like the only ones on the island with just one sheriff. The background in the scenes shows hundreds of homes and boats. C'mon now! It would just be better on a remote desolate island.
