Tadd R (fr) wrote: Terrible. If you want to know how NOT to make a movie, emulate this POS. Over-acted, over-stated, and badly written - though it is shot well, which is a shame.

Matt W (kr) wrote: You know you're movie is in trouble when Dave Matthews plays the most convincing bad guy. =)

Danny R (br) wrote: Lil Bow Wow stars in this teen drama about a group of teens growing up circa 1970s who rule the world of roller skating. This film has its moments but it's basic melodrama for the most part.

Sushanna M (ca) wrote: boring, slow, pointless. once again, gratuitous boobies kept me awake long enough to see the end, then i promptly fell asleep (and i was carried to bed. how sweet heh.)

Kyla M (nl) wrote: I just love this tale of three brothers. And I love Patrick Dempsey!!!

Connor B (ca) wrote: One of the most awesome movies ever made, and probably one of the only fantasy films of the 80s that can count as a true work of cinematic art. Why more people don't like this film baffles me.

Scott J (us) wrote: Not the most PC movie you'll ever see.

Allan C (ru) wrote: I believe this film is the first to ever use a chainsaw as a weapon, predating "The Wizard of Gore," "Last House on the Left" and the most infamous chainsaw film, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." The chainsaw fight comes early in the film, despite the chainsaw being prominently featured on the movie poster. Despite that, the mere thought of someone being torn apart by a roaring chainsaw is indicative of the the type of brutality that this film had the audacity to present. On one level, this film is about the atrocities of war, but I more got the feeling that this film was a classy production of an almost grindhouse action flick. Rod Taylor plays a mercenary hired to by a company to retrieve diamonds worth millions in the midst of a civil war in the African Congo. Besides chainsaws, there's wanton murder, sexual assaults, torture and more. This certainly isn't as rough as a Takashi Miike film, but for it's time, it's pretty startling. Directed by ace cinematography Jack Cardiff, who only made a handful of films, this one stands out as something pretty original for it's time. It certainly falls within the men-on-a-mission sub-genre (ALA "The Dirty Dozen" or "Guns of Navarone") but it has a grit that I hadn't seen in many of those films. It's a dated film for sure, but for fans of men-on-a-mission film or people interesting in seeing something that's kind of proto-grindhouse, it's an awfully good flick. Yvette Mimieux and Jim Brown also appear in the film.

The Movie G (jp) wrote: Really horrible. I can see a little bit why other people like it, the movie feels like it gets no where, so they try to make a good story but it just does not work. The acting and the CGI was good, I can't really say it was bad because the CGI was really good, and with the acting really got the film to be suspenseful. But after all the movie isn't the best.

Tom H (ag) wrote: cool and surprisingly bleak sci-fi movie with a great idea behind it. but it is at times poorly executed in certain areas. but this film is pretty good and original.

Jamie J (jp) wrote: Absolutely hilarious!! I cannot recommend this movie enough. this movie to me is the funniest movie I have seen since the big labowski.
