Emma Lee C (kr) wrote: Imaginative, creative, unique, & heart-melting, Tom Hiddleston & Tilda Swinton perfected these performances as this century-old vampire couple. Josef Van Wissem perfected the calming, enjoyable music soundtrack that highly suggest everyone to download. The costumes & makeup (including the wigs) are amazing. The story itself leaves you at the edge of your seat in this vampiric drama/thriller. & last but not least, Jim Jarmusch perfected the screenplay & story (in general, the entire film) like a masterpiece. This is definitely one of the greatest romance films & one of the best vampire films, especially those, of course, that involve in a love story. It honestly makes me appreciate life more.
Christopher S (it) wrote: The special effects are certainly dated, but the eerie charm of Mario Bava's low-budget space adventure remains. The colorful cinematography and kitschy (but still very atmospheric) production design make for some excellent evocative sci-fi imagery, and despite some occasional cheesiness, the story is a compelling potboiler with some genuinely creepy moments. Clearly highly influential on many science-fiction and horror films to follow. It may not rank among Bava's masterpieces, but in terms of sci-fi B-movies, this is easily among the best.
