(br) wrote: This film apparently pissed off every Marine out there. Any movie that inspires THAT much emotion is noteworthy....but this is a gut wrenching film! This movie did a good job of showing all sides of this tragic circumstance, in my opinion. I felt horrible for everyone involved...and I was left sickened to the core.
(ru) wrote: Just lovely: Great plot, brilliant cast and character's evolution. It's human, it's touching and it has and uncommon and clever ending that almost all the typical romantic comedies lack. After watching it, it gets difficult not falling in love with Julie's character and with the teenagers potential love story.

(jp) wrote: Packing a movie with a million different characters can be fine fi they all have something about them that is interesting and makes them feel flushed out. It is very hard to do and it's why when a film does it, it garners so much admiration and love. This film packs in the characters, but nothing that makes them stand out. Add in a story so over bloated and sluggish it quickly becomes something that thinks it is clever, but is really not.

(kr) wrote: I avoided this movie for a while for no real reason. Which I regret now, because this movie is great, the animation looks really good and the story it's quite interesting, it's a really well crafted stop-motion movie, from the same director which brought us "Nightmare Before Christmas", but this time he co-wrote the story. It might feel dark at times and it's intense if you understand the overall story for a PG movie, but it's still visually great and well made to be enjoyable for probably every age.
