Gabe S (ag) wrote: This should be required viewing for anyone who lives in or plans to move to Los Angeles... A fantastic documentary all around. A bit long but well worth the commitment.

ML B (es) wrote: The only reason I don't give this five stars is because I can't decide who's performance is better Hoffman or McQueen's. One of the forgotten gave films.

Danny L (us) wrote: I loved this movie. The Apu trilogy, were the first movies he filmed, but I could see how he improved in all senses with a new movie. Devi is better constructed than Aparajito, is more original and is full of conflicts. The rule is that a conflict or a problem opens the door to a new problem; this movie keeps you entertained all the time and show how far people can get because of the obsession of religion.

Richard J M (it) wrote: It is clear to see why Kubrick wanted to keep Fear And Desire away from the public eye, with it's awkward acting and dreadful editing often imposing. Despite this, there are some great shots, fantastically lit by the director himself, which hint that Kubrick was one to keep an eye on. The story is interesting, if sometimes odd, and definitely comes across as the work of a talented amateur finding his feet.

Grayson D (br) wrote: Another understated masterpiece from one the greatest directors of all time.

Andrew G (au) wrote: Everything involving Freddy and Jason is great; everything involving the protagonists suck. But despite the severe lack of suspense and scares, it's entertaining as all hell. Just sit back and enjoy watching two of horror's biggest icons tear each other to shreds.
