Trevor P (nl) wrote: Spirited Away will probably be one of the longest animated films you will ever see, and every second is worth it thanks to the surreal imagery that remains in your memory with its shocking simplicity. The Japanese have always been known for their bizarre imagination, but this time, Miyazaki outdoes himself with his wonderfully frightening creations of frog people, balls of soot carrying rocks, a six-armed engineer who walks like a spider, a giant baby, and three Kashira who chant, "Oy! Oy! Oy!" As the film progresses, each design appears more brilliant than the last, the animation consistently treated with subtle realism.

John B (us) wrote: Now this is a good bit of acting. The addressing of the abortion issue is very telling for its era. It is likely that this type of drama paved the way for film makers to take more chances and emerge from the rather grey 50s. Natalie Wood and McQueen are very solid.

Somehwat remenicent of "No Country For Old Men" but under the direction of Don Siegal(Dirty Harry.) Wasn't a big hit upon it's release but everything that has happend in this film is self- explanatory in terms of trying to find a way out of this complicated situation is quite fascinating during it's time of release! Robbing banks is slightly irrevelant now in these current times! 3.5 out of 4

Alexander E (ca) wrote: This movie is overall wonderful. I found it a very entertaining animated film that always had someway to surprise you and had you laughing so much. I would say that this is probably one of the most creative, and fantastic animated films out there. Dreamworks keep blowing our minds!
