Love leads to madness when an unstable man falls for an unsuspecting woman in this thriller from Greece. Iasonas (Giorgos Kakanakis) is throwing a party one evening when a friend introduces him to Penelope (Serafita Grigoriadou); the two quickly hit it off and soon she's sharing his home. However, before long it becomes obvious that something isn't quite right -- each of them tends to see things in different ways, Iasonas has a hard time making his memories skew with what has actually happened, and tension between them reaches the boiling point. But when the relationship finally explodes into violence, what actually happens between Iasonas and Penelope?

Kyle J (es) wrote: Very gratifying if you're patient. The premise is really bizarre, but it feels so true and gets at something real. Not exactly entertaining, but it's really unique.

RB S (us) wrote: when will they release an actual Grindhouse dvd instead of just the movies on their own?

James B (ru) wrote: Easily DMX's best movie. David Arquette and Micahel Early are good supporting characters in this film. This film is very very grim and brutal, but is a good representation of an insane drug dealer that seduces and addicts women for his personal and financial gain. Intense film with some good plot twists.

Samir S (mx) wrote: Melancholic without being Melodramatic... The beauty of this film lies in the fact that it doesn't indulge in over-sentimentality which it could have easily fallen prey to...

Jon P (fr) wrote: When it comes to evocative, alternative cinema, it seems that Pedro Almodovar can do no wrong and this psychosexual, semi-autobiographical drama is yet another proof-piece. The meandering screenplay and inventive editing make for a compelling mystery with both style and substance; pulling viewers through a portal into a world of arresting relationships and scorching secrets. In the wrong hands, Bad Education could've been the stuff of exploitation horror or heavy-handed thriller, yet Almodovar's tasteful treatment of taboo and precarious passion for storytelling ensure his work is every inch a masterpiece. Utterly unmissable.

Dave R (us) wrote: it's a dark comedy about a reluctant hitman, cosmo (priestly) is a forrest gump like guy who works as bookie for a crime family and gets moved up to muscle work, turns out he's a natural.the problem with this movie is it's trying too hard to be quirky. and there isn't much depth to the characters either.

Guido S (gb) wrote: They really don't make movies quite like this or Cop and a Half. In a sort of anti-buddy-cop movie, a cop is stuck with someone who isn't fit to be a cop and comes along to screw things up for them. In this case, Stallone and Estelle Getty as his overbearing mother. He's on a case of a gun running ring. This movie is pretty dumb, but in a endearing kind of way. It does about what you expect for a cop movie and a mother-son type film. Also doesn't outstay its welcome, ending about the time when the jokes start to tire. Still a good movie that they don't make anymore and seems to have been forgotten through time.

Mat K (us) wrote: A Medieval Sci-fi and a What if explanation for the St. George and the Dragon story. The story and the production values were okay but the dialogue writer should be taken out and lynched. And then there is Harvey Keitel with his New York accent using thees and thous but not consistently. The only bright spot in the movie a, for some reason, dubbed, Klaus Kinski. It is however good for a laugh for all the wrong reasons.

Jeremy P (jp) wrote: I love this film. I think it was a first, a trendsetter for the Hong Kong film industry. You already had a string of big action comedies, but this one threw in the horror genre as well, so it was an inspiration for later classics like Mr. Vampire and A Chinese Ghost Story. A rich man is having an affair with Sammo's wife, but fears getting his butt kicked if he's found out, so he wants Sammo killed. He gets this conjurer of dead spirits to try and pull off the job. This leads to some hilarious scenes of Sammo getting chased by Chinese vampires and trying to fight them off. And that conjurer's chanting is priceless, you have to see/hear it yourself. I won't spoil the ending, but the final 15 seconds or so is possibly the funniest ending ever.
