The first segment features an animated mummy stalking selected student victims; the second tale tells the story of a "cat from hell" who cannot be killed and leaves a trail of victims behind it; the third story is about a man who witnesses a bizarre killing and promises never to tell what he saw and the "in-between" bit is the story of a woman preparing to cook her newspaper boy for supper.

Patrick M (es) wrote: I'm going to start off positive. John Francis Daly and Anna Kendrick were decent in their respective roles. Ana Gasteyer and Rob Corddry can be funny with the right material. I enjoy Ken Jeong on "Community." And while I'm not familiar with Tom Lennon outside of "@Midnight" or what (thankfully) little I've seen of "Reno 9-1-1", he's a capable entertainer. That said, this is one of the worst movie I have ever seen. Ever. In the history of film. Ever. I can't imagine a movie, a comedy no less, being any worse than this. If there was a rating lower than "no stars", I'd give it. With some movies I don't like or get largely negative reviews, I can find some redeeming qualities. Even Kangaroo Jack had Christopher Walken. The premise is promising enough: Post-Rapture life for people who didn't make it into Heaven. Wackiness and apathy ensues. The shouting Locusts, Gasteyer being sent back to Earth, a Zombie in denial about his state of un-being were all worth a few chortles. That's pretty much it.At no point does the movie improve or make me laugh out loud. Outside of those played by Kendrick, Daly, Lennon (who had the benefit of not doing much) and Jeong (who wasn't in it very long), I wanted to take a blowtorch to every character in the film. None of them were funny, least of all Craig Robinson as Earl/Anti-Christ/Beast/That really annoying, not-at-all-funny character. They were all written to be incredibly stupid, or jerks, or perverts, or annoying or some combination thereof, and took those "traits" up to 11. It was all about getting shock laughs rather than putting any effort or heart into the humor, or story. This is lazy writing, and even lazier comedy. Biblical inaccuracies I can forgive, but sub-par comedy? Hell no.Is there something lower than zero stars? Dirt? Can we go with dirt? Okay, so...I give this movie one dirt.I kid, I kid. In all seriousness, this film couldn't make it's way to half-a-dirt.

Jacob M (it) wrote: I absolutely adore this film. Bruce Willis playing the unsuspecting super hero was just amazing. The writing and directing of the ShamHammer is downright great. Sam Jackson plays a mentally superior being on the search for his nemesis to battle throughout life. I love how this played on comic book themes by being subtle about it at the same time. Big round of applause for Shyamalan.
