The film begins with some classic Knotts gags and the use of his nervous shaking is used nicely throughout the film. TV actors are scattered throughout as characters and the whole thing is enjoyable due to the humorous take and lightheartedness of the film making it very viewer-friendly. Vic Mizzy's music is eerie and fun at the same time constantly keeping our senses tuned to the story and events and adding to the humor or "hauntings". Good timing, acting, and humor make this a lot of fun to watch - and the "goofs" such as the noticeable stunt man or crazy flashlight just add to the laughs. This was Don Knotts first return to film since The Andy Griffith Show and he continued to establish himself as a comedic genius. A classic of good fun (albeit B movie) cinema history.

A band of people in medieval garb who try to have as much sex as possible while trying madly to cover up the fact that they should be chaste. AKA virgins trying desperately to be sluts. Hayden Christensen suits the character of Lorenzo to a T, but Mischa Barton supplies the usual English accent and morally righteous character as always. Where is the variety???!!! Wake up and smell the horseshoes and cow dung!! However, the fight scenes between Matthew Rhys and Tim Roth is superb. Well done on that account.

Has there ever been movie that better depicts life, a boy growing up and his family around him? Has there ever been a better movie. The answer is no of course. Nothing is fake, everything is real, everyone is just common yet unique. Just amazing. Mandatory viewing for any parent, for anyone. See it now, then see it again in a few years. Then again.

Cris Johnson (Cage) is able to foresee - but only by a couple of minutes - the consequences of his actions, and then to change his actions accordingly. He is hiding out in Vegas, keeping a low profile, while government agents led by Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) are trying to track him down, planning to turn him into a captive asset with the immediate goal of preventing a terrorist attack. The setup in Las Vegas is a bit strange, but frankly the Philip K. Dick story on which the original draft of the movie was loosely based is also quite strange (though totally different).Julianne Moore is exceptional as the FBI agent who has complete faith in her own conviction that Johnson is the solution to the expected attack. We have of course come to expect brilliance from her performances, and I found this one completely up to her usual standard. Two scenes stand out in my mind, years after seeing this movie: the one where Johnson escapes from the government agents by causing an avalanche then running through it, and the search of the building that displays extremely well the way Johnson sees the world as a series of alternate futures.

I liked the look and feel of this movie. The stories were interesting. I especially loved the the bus driver story. I did like this movie but it left me kind of cold. There isn't enough character development and the end felt a little rushed. I wanted to learn more about these characters. I was especially interested in the father and son at the beginning of the film but we never learn much about them. I ended up feeling cheated. I wanted more. If you love movies set during Halloween you will probably enjoy this film but don't go in expecting too much. It is a good movie. It just feels unfinished to me.
