(it) wrote: The acting was atrocious. The acting directing was horrendous. The script: dialogue and plot were thin, ambiguous and uninteresting. The gore wasn't even exciting or fresh.Horrible, terrible. The worst movie I've seen in ages.
(fr) wrote: This tale attempts to cover many aspects of familiar and peer/societal expectations, idiosyncrasies and dysfunction and, is about an entitled top dog and his inner struggles after causing a young(er) man's untimely death. Do we listen to our moral conscience or continue in our pursuits no matter the cost(s)?

(mx) wrote: Though not paced as well as I'd hoped, Grabbers is phenomenally fun and clever monster flick. It's so rare that effort is put into this type of film.
(es) wrote: I want into this movie i wans't sure want to expect. I thought it would be funny i (It was.) I din't think it would be the best movie of the summer (It wasn't). I Thought there would be a wierd plot twist (Boy was there ever). So i would sum up this movie this movie has a strong first 2/3rds of the movie. The 3rd act is not strong with very little comedy and alot more romance and drama. But despite that this is still a very good movie. Not that best movie you'll see this summer or the best Will Smith ever but still go see it

(de) wrote: A look at early "feminism" as we have the story of a woman trying to exceed traditional roles to embrace the lifestyle of a new country. This however is a dull rendition.

(nl) wrote: This is a great film about two best friends fighting over the souls of a group of young adults. It also features james cagney shameing humphrey bogart, something that doesn't happen to bogart often. Its the last 15 minutes of the film of rocky sullivans final act and one of the best last shots of any film (one that could only work in black and white) that really tie the film together and raise it from a good film to great. Its intresting how you root for rocky when hes acting as a criminal as well as when hes doing the ring thing.
(de) wrote: There's not a whole lot to say about Open Range, a severely dry western undermined by an exceptionally sentimental score and some hokey dialogue. Costner's direction is solid, if unimpressive, and the performances range from robotic to passable (Duvall does good work while Costner seems relatively lifeless in the lead role. The less said about Bening's uncharacteristically awful performance, the better). It's not without moments of inspiration; there's an admirable focus on the minutia of every-day life in the time period and the final shoot-out works, but the film that contains these individual moments never really comes alive in any meaningful way, instead looking and feeling like a limp reenactment instead of an effective piece of filmmaking.
(fr) wrote: Bad. Painfully bad. Production values: akin to the worst made in the backyard film ever or in this case: Denmark 1961. Story wise you've seen it before in serveral better produced Star Trek episodes. Surprised this never made MST3K. A laffable moment that suppossed to invoke horror when the astronaut/youngest crew member sticks his hand into a force field to impress the older crew and freezes his hand. Really? Wow. That and the constantly horny crewmember Don who really needs a sedative. If you watch it try to do it with friends and drink heavily.
