Task Force

After learning the finer points of carrier aviation in the 1920s, career officer Jonathan Scott and his pals spend the next two decades promoting the superiority of naval air power. Then the world enters a second World War and Scott finally gets the opportunity to prove to Washington the valuable role aircraft carriers could play in winning the conflict. But what will it cost him and his comrades personally?

As he is retiring, Jonathon Scott reminisces about his long Navy career and the development of the role of the aircraft carrier from the early 20s. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Lisa B (ag) wrote: I confess, I rated it higher because I got to hear some of my childhood icons swear like real people XD I regret missing out on DC for the last decade; Justice League was good as a kid.

Luke C (us) wrote: It's a good film but it moves at a slow pace and after a while you can just predict what's going to happen.

andy b (fr) wrote: this is the worst film ever from minute one the dialogue makes you cringe

Lee M (kr) wrote: Rarely do you come across such a modest production so balanced in heart, soul and mind, not to mention a sizable amount of style not only for noir fans or sci-fi fans, but just plain film fans.

Brad G (fr) wrote: James Woods rocks an insane ponytail as 80s engulfed 60s legal hero Eddie Dodd. And as usual, Woods is the reason to watch. The story is kinda typical courtroom fodder, but Woods' rekindled passion and Robert Downey Jr's bespectacled idealism keep the so-so plot watchable. If you enjoyed Jagged Edge, The Verdict, or Presumed Innocent than you'll probably dig this as well. VF.

Rashi S (jp) wrote: Awesome Movie Saw it over 23 times between 1988 to 1995 then lost count.

Paul C (kr) wrote: This movie was just ok in my eyes. But it had some funny moments that made it just a little better than most comedies from the 80s. Chevy Chase was basically himself with his quirky little lines. Goldie Hawn was decent. I really wanted to see more out of Charles Grodin. The story was in pieces and really was not that interesting at all. But it was the comedy of the film that keeps you interested. Chevy Chase basically was the reason the movie was funny for most of the other characters were not as humorous. There is a dog in the film that is a Saint Bernard. I swear it was the same dog from the movie Beethoven; which Charles Grodin was also in. So overall, it was a humorous movie, but not one of the best.

Kim W (es) wrote: I don't usually enjoy war films but this is an exception. I bought it as a two pack and thought "why not?" Pleasant surprise and really enjoyed Clark Gable's performance.

Graham M (it) wrote: I enjoyed seeing the freaks themselves but I feel the story is a little simplistic for modern times.

Seth C (nl) wrote: An overall good experience for comic-book-literate and general audiences, but a few minor plot holes that leave audiences questioning the motives of several characters prevent the film from being an overall INCREDIBLE experience.

Clinton P (jp) wrote: not Disney's best effort, and definitely not Pixar quality.

Lee (ca) wrote: A house-hunting family and a couple of photographers get stranded in a derelict hotel on a small island with a history of witchcraft. Mostly bad but it has its points of interest including: Linda Blair getting possessed again, an appearance by David Hassellhoff and some bloody occurences with the highlight being a woman who gets her lips sewn shut and then gets slowly roasted to death. If you enjoy cheesy Italian productions then you may find this of interest.
