Annaleena H (mx) wrote: I FELT LIKE I WAS TRIPPING. O__O This movie raised many questions about cinematic violence, film industry... and Japanese culture. Watch this movie to the very end and you'll understand more. ;-)

Daniel G (jp) wrote: Mein, I love playing pool...this is one of the best pool movies I have ever seen.

Graham L (ru) wrote: Why was a sequel made to "The Foreigner?" Even as Seagal's direct-to-video excursions go it was pretty lame. Here's a fun game: instead of counting the number of times you can see an obvious stuntman doing Seagal's fights, count the number of times you can see Seagal doing ANY of his own fighting. You'll have to watch pretty close.

alex f (ru) wrote: you just want to watch it for memories of the 90's and Harry Shearer announcing the game at the end.

Martin T (au) wrote: Again, Ophuls proves himself a master at camera movement, with astonishing tracking shots, crane shots, pans and zooms and impeccable lighting and set design. I actually found the bookend stories far more interesting, perhaps because their relatively short length prohibited them from wearing out their welcome. The middle story had some amusing moments but there just wasn't much meat there. As befits the title, the movie is pleasant, just not all that mind-blowing except for the cinematography.

Sarah G (nl) wrote: Essentially, for me, Cary Grant is the only reason to see this film. I'm not the war movie type. However, as a whole, the film wasn't bad. It really gave me a glimpse of what goes on 10,000 leagues under the sea;^). I really appreciated how it also showed the constant decisions the captain [Grant] has to make. In this role, Grant was more serious than he is some of his other roles, however, he still remains to be charming and funny at times.
