Justin R (ag) wrote: I applaud Sausage Party for its efforts and for the fact of it being the first computer animated rated-R movie. When the original red band trailer came out, I was hooked, super pumped to see it. While I can't say it met my expectations, I still managed to enjoy the ride, no matter how insanely vulgar it got.Mapping out the highs and lows of the movie, I thought Sausage Party started out strong. It perfectly set up a tone of a typical animated kids movie, but soon began to show it's more dirty-Seth Rogen side. I was hooked like the I was when I first saw the trailer. Then Sausage Party began to falter during the middle. It felt like it was dragging on for quite a while and none of the jokes were really making me laugh. However, the movie thankfully picked up, and maybe picked up a bit too much (in a good way) because the last act of the movie is absolutely INSANE. The audience was into it, I was into it, it was a good time.Overall as a movie, Sausage Party is just plain and simple fun. There's some clever jokes about what type of people are what food and a fairly good message that ties back to us humans. The novelty of cursing food does wear out very quickly, but the movie manages to figure out how to slip in some better jokes. With a good start and fantastic finish, Sausage Party is a wild ride, even though it may drag in the middle a bit. Here's to hoping that Sausage Party opens up to more rated-R animated movies in the future!3/8/17 UPDATE:As time has gone by, I have thoroughly thought about Sausage Party as a whole. While I have not seen Sausage Party a second time, I hold most of what I said to still be true. However, my overall liking of Sausage Party has gone down. The second act takes a dip and in some regards, so does the final act. The final scenes come out of a completely different ballpark that ultimately did not match up with what came previously. You end the movie on a high note, thus making you forget the bigger faults of the film. Praising Sausage Party for being the first CG animated R rated film is giving it too much credit. The humor, as I remember is mediocre, and rather harmful. Although I myself am not a religious person, I found it extremely offensive that the film takes such an anti-religion stand point.I usually don't change my opinions on a movie after only seeing it once, but this was a special case.Updated Grade: C+

Sean H (kr) wrote: Though it's without doubt visually captivating, well acted and exceptionally well staged, there's just something about it which doesn't do it for me. Whether it's the ending without resolve or just an entrely downplayed closing stages I don't know but where I found Hero to be relentless fascinating with it's scope and resolve, this seem confused with exactly what it's own message was. It's without doubt a exceptionally good film, but sadly not a classic.

Mark D (au) wrote: Despite it's incredibly bad acting and loose plot i really enjoyed it. It's a shame the actors didn't get another job.

Jake P (nl) wrote: Loved this film. Proving again Audrey Hepburn is one of the greatest actresses ever. Smart script and story make this film fun. The acting is great and the chemistry between Hepburn and Peter O Tool is great.

Daniel Y (fr) wrote: Cars is a visually dazzling Pixar movie that has a bit more meaning in the visuals than style and overall story. But, don't let that fool you, because it still packs a big enough punch that is able to work even if some of it's comedy doesn't work and is forced at some moments and moments in general and characters, more towards Mater since he is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy but luckily they have some heart felt stuff for him to say that makes it work just enough to the point where you can either tolerate him or like him, depenfing on what type of person you are. But, all in all Cars is an enjoyable movie.
