He played a wonderful man that you fall in love with as soon as he enters the picture. It is one of the sweetest on screen relationships that I have ever seen. But the real highlight of this movie is Ciran Hinds and his connection with McDormand's Miss Pettigrew. Lee Pace is hot as hell with his big puppy dog eyes, and he and Amy Adams work wonderfully together and make a beautiful couple. They make a great on-screen team. Frances McDormand is so awesome all the freaking time, and Amy Adams is incredibly cute. I absolutely adore this movie

Pretty damn good script and the effects are old-school rather than cgi. A fellow cop becomes suspicious, but his best friend totally embraces his friend's new form. He kills armed robbers and meth dealers in the most brutal fashion. An alcoholic small town cop transforms into a werewolf after being cursed; he continues his work as a police officer while in wolf form becoming much more of a vigilante than actual police officer

This is an excellent BBC adaptation from T Hardy fatalistic tale with Nathaniel Parker and Paloma Baeza, which are superb in their roles, especially Parker who does a wonderful job as Gabriel Oak

Pretty run of the mill stuff but Nicholas Cage is always very watchable

I Really Wanted Him To Really Have Powers. I Felt Sorry For The Guy. Good acting by Michael Rapaport. Funny

Brilliant. Where it most succeeds however is in emotionally grabbing you, consoling you, then wrestling you to the floor and kicking you in the guts as you move from idealistic passion to betrayal and heartbreak along the Orwellian nightmare that was the Spanish civil war. Everything in this film is brilliantly achieved: the production, the design, the acting all work seamlessly in Loach's characteristic earthy (and often improvised) way, with more than a nod to George Orwell's Homage to Catalonia. I'm not going to though. If I had to score a movie based on the number of times I've watched it this one would have to score 100%

5%. Peace to all. The only edge that has taken Hollywood is what seat you'll get for lunch at The Grill. Watch THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING a few hundred times then try to watch what is considered today as 'on the edge' filmmaking. Jingoistic? Complexities? Tell that to the families of my three dear friends who feel no complexity after getting slaughtered on 9/11. stunning and in your face audacious. And I've been around the block from culver city to burbank a few million times. In essence, it is true filmmaking IMO. This is my mentor (never had the chance) Jean Luc Goddard amped on insane adrenline letting real guys lay it on you. No Robert McKee pod people or hypno-'How to Not Write a Script' to be found here Thank G-d. Act of Valor is the real deal

I had high hopes, but walk away supremely disappointed. I don't need all the canned melodrama either. Walken is good, sure, but when the plot becomes the realization of Sam Rockwell's character's dream for a screenplay--and he tells you what is going to happen minutes before it actually happens--it becomes total bullshit. For an "underrated" film, this is massively overrated. Seven Psychopaths, one and a half stars
