The Next Starfighter (br) wrote: One of my favorite Jackie films. This is the final film starring the "brothers" (sammo, biao, and jackie). It's nice too see jackie play a womanizer lawyer and not another cop. The final fight scene is the best part. This is the second time Jackie has gone up against Benny "The Jet" Urquidez. I am kind of partial, Benny is my girlfriend's unlce. This is a must see for any Jackie Chan fan
Ishamael M (it) wrote: Even before the dimensions of Hell were opening up to swallow those who inadvertently opened them, there is a different kind of Hellish atmosphere permeating the scene. The family dynamics is distorted against the expectations, true values are rejected as a mere illusion while perversions are endorsed as the ultimate truth. And that is only the first few developing scenes of the movie. Then come the real demons...Clive Barker's debut on screen presents an complicated tangle of psychological and supernatural horror that is as fun to watch now as when it first came out, despite the visual effects that may be found lacking based on modern standards for graphics.
Emerald R (jp) wrote: This film comes straight from the 80's action mould. And not the good mould that Top Gun came out of.The loner with no memory but super ninjistu skills and his army buddies face off against generic European bad guys and Black Star Ninjas. The good guys win, the girl falls for the guy and everybody lives happily ever after except the non American ninjas and the Sensei of the good ninja. The fact this spawned four sequels must have been part of some tax dodge by the producers. If you are looking for an action film from 1985, give Rambo First Blood Part 2 a look before you watch this.Featured on Episode 55 of The Emerald Reprobates Podcast

Rick R (de) wrote: "Kedamono no ken" (1965)The American title for this is "Sword of the Beast" or sometimes called "Samurai Gold Seakers".A young Samurai, Gennosuke (Mikijiro Hira) is on the run from his clan. He killed his clan's Chancellor and now his daughter and all of the Samurai from his clan are doing everything in their power to catch him and kill him.Gennosuke is taken in by a prospector who wants to go up into the mountains owned by the Shogun prospecting for gold. Poaching on the Shoguns land is a killing offense and the prospector knows that they can help each other. If they find a lot of gold, Gennosuke could live in hiding pretty nicely, and with Gennosuke's sword skills the prospector will be protected better from thieves and the Shogun's army. Gennosuke feels that he is a beast that is being hunted. This story takes place during the Meiji Restoration Period. This was an age of possible change and reform and Gennosuke was wanting to spearhead this change with his clan. We later find that he was manipulated by the Vice-Chancellor for power.Gennosuke and his prospector friend meet up with a low-ranking Samurai and his wife who are also prospecting for gold on a mountain stream. This Samurai is digging for gold for his clan with the idea of higher rank and becoming a paid Samurai. He must protect the gold from bandits, no matter what. This is a nice Samurai movie. Although it may not have the "Lone Wolf" type of action, the fight sequences are good and the story is fast moving. This movie is well worth checking out.

Daniel U (fr) wrote: Ive seen some pretty bad horror movies, I can usually watch through them and laugh... I hated this movie. There was a point where I paused the movie and had to take a break cause I couldn't take it. This. Movie. Sucks. They try to replace everything with tons of gore and nothing makes sense. I hated it. Horrible way to wrap up a decent horror franchise.

Kelly K (au) wrote: I saw this as part of a Halloween double-feature when I was five years old and have been warped ever since. Strother Martin's surprisingly sympathetic mad scientist turns Dirk Benedict into a king cobra. Realistically, that's all you need to know. Either you've logged on to Netflix to reserve this one, or there's simply no hope for you. :)
