Terror from the Year 5000

Prof. Erling and his financial backer Victor build a prototype time machine to snatch objects from the past. Latest find, a statuette, radiometrically dates to 5200 AD! When this draws colleague Richard Hedges to the island lab, Erling reveals that 20th-century objects put in the machine seem to be "traded" for analogous future objects by intelligent life. And on the sly, Victor's been trying to get a living visitor. Does the future need help, or is the present in danger?

Watch it if you need a teen movie fix or drama film. There's a reveal at the end that ties up the movie...which is disturbing. Recommended watch for light timepass...when you dont want non-sense but dont want oscar-bait serious stuff either. Ezra shines in the film. An excellent story with equally excellent story-telling. recommended watch for a lazy afternoon.

Paul D (us) wrote: A moody environment for an hard-bitten detective investigation, but this is done with little pace to it, much to the film's detriment.

Sarah T (us) wrote: not the BEST movie I've seen all year...but still kept me holding on for more. Phoenix and Ruffalo are two favorites of mine and seem to act well off each other... a decent flick overall

Theressa Nicole G (it) wrote: For those of us who still believe in true love, this is a heartbreaking and heartwarming tale that will reignite your faith in destiny.

Heidi C (us) wrote: I loved this movie! Robin Williams was fantastic. House of D is a movie worth watching.

Ben G (it) wrote: [SPOILER] A dog is shot in the head at the beginning of this film. After that, it's a rather pointless "monster is hunting us" scenario in the Scottish highlands, following a trained group of black ops soldiers. I shut it off after 25 minutes, not interested in seeing more people with their entrails hanging out.

Pierre K (br) wrote: Love stories don't get better than that. Anthony Hopkins and Debra winger are amazing and they make alive the beautiful love story between cs.Lewis and joy Gresham..Richard Attenborough realization is great at capturing and conveying the beauty of this love story and presenting it to us perfectly.Without any exaggerated cheesiness and tricks love story films most of the time relied on. Shadowlands is probably one of the 10 best love story of the 90's.

Lord S (mx) wrote: I actually watched it back in 1993...and I never forgot it, yes it was that bad...But c'mon, I was just a kid! haha. Not a real "terror" movie, maybe if you are into SCI FI with some comedy touch chances are great that you may appreciate it a bit more, but definitively not for someone searching a horror film (as I did)

Danny R (es) wrote: Irresponsible, cigar smoking, gambling black sheep uncle Buck is his brother's last resort to look after his teenage daughter and two younger children. Buck starts out not being liked but by the end he's a stand up guy. This comedy isn't very interesting and is a result of a thin storyline and thin screenplay. The writer's had a good idea but that's about it.

Shawn W (kr) wrote: What, the Mujaheeden are friends of the West? Tons of irony that literally took a couple of decades to emerge make this film worth revisiting as Rambo attempts to save a captive Trautman from Soviet invaders in Afghanistan. If only America had listened to the words of the local rebels in this film, they may have thought twice about sending troops there.

Guilherme M (ca) wrote: A weirdly charming fairy tale that percolates the opposites of human nature - the ancient and the futuristic, gullibility and maliciousness, the surreal and the tangible.

Brandon S (jp) wrote: Simply put, this epic cinematic landmark has some of the most beautiful imagery ever committed to celluloid.A film of incredible scope that dwarfs nearly all contemporary epics. It's a war epic that is crafted with a great sense of scale. Every moment, even those brief scenes simply in an office or a tent, carry this enormity; this physical depth.

Fong K (mx) wrote: A bold endeavour in moviemaking to feature a movie-long philosophy-heavy conversation about an experimental theater in a forest, reasoning with insects, rebirth with a burial, the meaning of life, a hallucination during mass, Antoine de Saint-Exupery's The Little Prince, electric blankets and whatnot can be an overload of savoury insights or highfalutin applesauce.
