(kr) wrote: Delightful movie for anyone who likes crazy alternate history, over the top heroism and alien tech mixed with steampunk. not a deep and complex story but a decent SF style war story again if you enjoy over the top heroism. Teddy Roosevelt was very well played. Interesting that so many actors from the highlander TV show were in the voice cast.

No one here does and the hip, modern, cooler-than-thou, winkin-at-you, don't-we-look-fabulous result so ruins the work that I couldn't help but finally agreeing to not giving a damn either. The monster's based on a one off novelty song of the '60's.

This story has just been produced way too many times and seemed a bit monotonous to me, especially with its weak ending. But I certainly enjoyed discovering the beauty that is Nora Arnezeder!

(gb) wrote: Not your traditional 80s coming-of-age, coming-out, coming-to Amsterdam type of story. After a disjointed 30min intro, this love story with a 'twist' starts to take form once Frank settles into the House. Expect a tearjearker ending, cameo appearances from Stephen Fry (unintentionally hilarious) and Joanna Scanlan (intentionally under-used) and a scene-stealing performance from 'Angelo/Angela'.
(es) wrote: the few action sequences are in most cases excellent, but they still can't hide this cliched movie about snipers escaping a deserved death. quite boring actually. too much talking, not enough action.
