Put that quote on the blu-ray case, because his quip is the perfect description of this film. Nothing outright wrong with the film outside of the fact that it feels like it was pieced together on an assembly line. The performances are well done and there are some excellent visuals and genuine comedy. However, the plot did not engage me at all. Star Trek Beyond just kind of... exists.

James M (ru) wrote: One of the srangest comedies ever. It's a bizzare look at aviva and her misadventures. Palindromes looks at themes like identity and morality. He leaves no stone unturned and in the process cuts deep. It's funny disturbing and elightening. Yes he goes to far, but much like borat thats the whole point.

Alexander P (kr) wrote: Astonishing how prophetic this film has become. Our modern obsession of today with self-absorbed social media, which isolates us from genuine, intimate interaction comes shining through in the latter stages of Wender's film.Although realized over 20 years ago, it senses the future accurately: We now live in a narsicistic world in which even the poorest Americans - who cannot afford a cars - simply can't survive without iPad and Facebook alter-egos.

Samuel B (au) wrote: This is one of the few 'musicals' I can handle watching for 3 hours as it isn't about the characters bursting out into song every few minutes but rather lightly supported with a talented 70's British rock band and vocalist Alan Price. A bit of a wandering storyline the film is long but keeps you entertained and contains lots of social commentary, some about war, some about capitalism, some about the criminal justice system, and some about young ambition too. Check it out, its worth it.
