(br) wrote: Do you like hearing old men rant about how technology is destroying us all and how damn disrespectful kids are on their smartphones all the time? Well you're in luck, because somebody mistook a bunch of that for a script. 1) suffers from a serious case of Juno disease, where somebody totally out-of-touch with young people tries to write young people and has no idea what slang means, what young people are actually doing, or how young people are actually interacting. 2) if the film weren't "grumpy old man shouts about MILLENIALS" enough, there's a scene where an older man preaches directly to the main character about the dangers of internet addiction and how bad smart phones are. 3) the moral of the story is, I shit you not: if you befriend lonely people they will kill everyone you love. What a terrible message. I'm not saying the characters deserved ghost-murder, but the film seems like a tacit encouragement of bullying.

(au) wrote: A quite old horror / thriller movie from the 80s and there are many classics from that period. It was the first time i saw this movie now and i would probably have enjoyed it more back in the old days but still decent even today probably. There is a remake out now aswell and remakes usually falls behind the originals. Anyway a good slasher movie much similar to "friday the 13th" and other flicks like that.

(ru) wrote: All due respect to Lancaster, casting him as an indian? Still, a well done Western in most respects. Burt Lancaster stars as the lone Apache, Massai, who valiantly fights a one-man war against the U.S. calvary in his attempt to remain free at all costs. But freedom has a cost, its buried in the ground. This is an apology to the last standing American indian who wanted to simply be left alone. But the times and the technology of the times were changing. His Cherokee brother, who he stays with one night, is his future. He knows it all too late. This Apache film is the one to watch, at least once. Cast Burt Lancaster (the lead) Jean Peters (his indian wife and pretty too) Charles Bronson (later to be a lead actor himself) John McIntire Crew Director: Robert Aldrich Editor: Alan Crosland Jr. Set Decorator : Joseph Kish Producer: Harold Hecht Costume Designer: Norma Koch Cinematographer: Ernest Laszlo Composer: David Raskin Production Designer: Nicolai Remisoff Screenplay: James R. Mulai dari bagaimana seorang remaja berbakat yang akhirnya memutuskan untuk menghilangkan nyawanya karena merasa tidak berdaya dalam mencapai keinginan hati yang sebenarnya dan terus diatur oleh orang tuanya; hingga tentang seorang guru yang harus menanggung kesalahan yang bukan Ia perbuat.
