Once there the mechanic dies and the bride and groom do as well by a man in gas mask.Five Years Ago another couple who are dressed to be married, but are only going somewhere to fool around get attacked by a man with a chainsaw. The guy gets killed, but the girl survives. She's had a lot of issues concerning the men she's loved in her life. They always seem to get killed. There is an obvious reason for this and it deals with her family. The characters and dialogue are not important in this movie. It seems that the only importance throughout the film is to have "characters" just to watch them get slained at random moments. So basically what you have here is a film that literally lives by its title 'Wedding Slashers'. Overall, the gory moments work, but the dialogue is terrible, the characters are just waiting to die and the story is very obvious.

Justin W (nl) wrote: Apparently 'Jindabyne' is the story of how the monumentally stupid behavior of four Australian good buddies (not reporting the discovery of a body until they've finished fishing, and then letting on that they did so) brings the racial conflicts of an Australian town and emotional conflicts of its families to the surface. The problem with the film is that not one of the characters is written as anything but a stereotype. Not a single one of them has a need that the audience can understand - you're left to assume their motivation from the clich they are drawn from. It's sheer bad writing - each main character has to have some sort of major drama going on, because their characters are so thin. That's melodrama, and the cast chew the Australian scenery like they haven't eaten in a week, and the full-on ethnic wailing on the soundtrack gets old very quickly. The consequence of having so many threads of melodrama is that not one of them is resolved. The movie tries to cover up its lack of proper characterization by resorting to an unnecessary and unresolved serial killer plot, and a paper-thin small-town racism plot.Nobody on the crew thought to mention that if you find a dead body in a creek, you might not feel like eating the fish you pull out of there. Bad writing and sloppy film-making.

Liam C (au) wrote: A very short and predictable film. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it. I thought the film had too much build up and not enough pay off. The whole film is obvious to what will happen but you still like seeing it. Characters were good and I liked the banter between Cage and Jones. Jones' subplot was a good one. With an impressive, albeit short, finale and one that will make audiences smile. If you're in need of some solid if forgettable and predictable entertainment, Fire Birds has you covered. It's a pleasant film, it's not going to win any Oscars or anything.

Matt M (kr) wrote: Freespirited and young mother of two Paula falls in love with the unhappily married conservative Paul. Both suddenly feeling oppressed by boundaries of institutions of all sorts, Paula desperately tries to free Paul from his conservatism. A times defying the oppression of East Germany, though cleverly getting away with it, The Legend of Paul and Paula is remarkable enough if only for its bravery and understated snub at censorship. The film itself is quite a non-conformist love story, and while sometimes it may seem a little silly, it's still entertaining and sweet.

Karen H (ca) wrote: 2012-01-25 pretty predictable, but a bit of a twist at the end along with illogical scenes (how did the 2 women hide Roger's body from the cops who swarmed the property, to be able to dump it? how did they keep the cops from finding the old basement and the 8yr old's body that would have proved Catherine was dead?)
